the rangers ignore the bow limit if you take them in the rangers of ithilian legendary legion. that legion requires sam, frodo and gollum. With those models and those in the box it is exactly 300 points i think.

the "requirement" is in a FAQ right? I'd just ignore it for non tournament games.

Hope ME SBG is back on the channel for a long time D. As for the rangers - they indeed ignore the bow limit BUT only in Rangers of Ithilien Legendary Legion which is can be found in Quest of the Ringbearer book.

Its great to see more LOTR games being played, always fun to watch and I feel like I learn alot. Look forward to many more 😄 RULES query that I have?? 13:17 The troll could of split the attacks and with the dice was rolled should of killed the 3 models in base to base with it and not just the 1. Page 49 of the rulebook

Slight mistake in the first round of shooting. Good models are not permitted to attempt ranged shots if any other good models are In the Way so Madril’s band couldn’t have shot at the troll through the other band in the center of the table. Didn’t change anything since nobody wounded it though. 😀 Also, at 13:23 a model with multiple attacks is permitted to split them among different models, so the troll could have potentially struck 3 dudes. I don’t have the new rule book that comes with this boxed set, but on the previous version with Gandalf on the cover it’s on pages 46-47.

Good fun, enjoyed seeing how a larger battle played out. Some bad dice rolling there - pretty sure you made your opponent use ride handed dice along with that right handed ruler!

When it comes to spending Might to wound the troll, I believe the 1 point of Might affects both rolls. So if you need a 6/4 and spend a point of Might to turn a 5 into a 6, then on the second roll you would only need 3

You should try a static cam for 1 of your battlereports. You could hand it over turn to turn depending on who`s turn it is.

What happened to the terrain and those ruins you had in previous videos? Looks like you have only two of the old ones? The other ones look super yellow… Also, are you going to post a video on how you paint ruins? I think you mentioned that in one of the videos before. Thanks :)

Hi guys wanted to ask for advice :).. I want to get my partner into war gaming and she has said she will give it ago. Now the question is which game would be easier to learn - Oathmark, Kings of War or Lord of the Rings ? any advice would be great but it primarily comes down to which she would find easiest to pick up and understand

no idea about oathmark, but kings of war and lotr are equally easy in my opinion. just very different in flavor. KoW is a grand army/rank and file game, lotr is a skirmish game that can be played with just a few models or many models depending on what you want that day. so i would suggest you go with what strikes you more as "fun" based on the looks of the models and the story.
