Hi You do have a sprayer, just look in the shed were you parked the 716, so you don't end up with two... Looking forward to play this map.

Good call selling the animals. I find if you try to go with too many animals too soon in Seasons you really struggle to feed them as you don't have the foodstuffs. Think about what your chosen animals will need and plan your crops accordingly, then only buy the animals once you're set up to do them properly. As you say, sheep are simple creatures so they're okay to start off with once you've got some grass.

Do you need to use the front lights (not the work lights) when you drive on the road in the UK?

Probably shouldn't buy the animal trailer dagger. It has the worst utilization rate in the game. To make it worth it you would have to buy 120 sheep just pay for the trailer. Definitely need to be leasing those (only need to purchase 14 sheep to break even).

Don't forget that cut grass will decay, sheep accept hay, so it might be prudent to make/store hay when weather allows.

at the start of the video where you were cultivating, there was a block of wood and some feeders. It would be cool if you could sow a maize cover crop off the back of this woods, just a strip. There might be some there fields you could do that. Then you would have yourself a bit of a driven game estate, for realism sake... many farms do :)

Fab video although the game sound is perfect, the background sounds e.g. Birds and crickets is too loud cause when you are talking they are louder than you. Hope this makes sense and loving the videos

The workers are the best (smart) on farming simulator 18 (mobile version) if you leave a field on half and leet it to the worker he knows which way to go and if he gets on a part that is finished by you he wont overwrite it but he will stop 😉

When fertilizing grass slurry and pellets act as a quick boost while manure acts as a slow acting fertilizer, put muck on the ground also adds organic matter which is needed after planting things like soybeans (I think).Also you can't put manure or slurry on long grass.

The Heston bales are good for straw bedding grass for feeding the sheep and for hay. If you pot a Heston bale in the feed mixer it will muck up the feed ratio and and it will make a lot of work so I would bale sume normal bale just to pot in the feed mixer. If you triy when you are not recording a video you will see what I meen I had this problem and that is what I dun to make it easier. 👍

Daggerwin in the USA when a tractor has a front loader on it we have it lowered to keep from obstructing our view of the road. The only time we have the arms in the air is when the pallet forks are attached to it to keep from killing anyone unfortunate to get into an accident with the tractor.

Yeah if Giants could incorporate the same soil texturing as what the developers of the Cattle and Crops farming sim game did with theirs, FS would really have leaped forward in realism quite a lot, hoping that Giants would look into that for the next release of FS19 or possibly even FS21

I'm playing 24 day seasons on this map. I bought a couple of fields. 11 or 12 in total for the first year. Day 7 of early spring ploughed/cultivated 4 fields.

Dagger I have sown all of the fields on Dusty cove with that tractor and drill what to do is get the mudflap completely in line with your previous pass and that will give you almost no wastage

If you go on google and search up fs17 tractor mods pick one of the links and go to page 7 and 9 you can get the john Deere 4960 tractor it's between 170-200 hours power it's great it doesn't get stuck in mud an it has no bugs. I hope you take my opinion daggerwin thanks

If you are going to get a JD, I'd say the best Ines out are either the 7R or 8R by tech modding, or the 7530 which you used before but probably the tech modding Ines

16 and 14 workers are a right pain, I play 17 mainly but 16 when I'm out and about

Didn't think you could seed when the ground temp is not at the correct temp with seasons mod. Canola is sow-able at a 5 degree ground temp, Is that correct. but Daggerwin is sowing at 4 degree ground temp. Will this affect yields. Just curious.

I have a suggestion: you can do this map with for example sheep, and another farm with cows and pigs with the buybales mod

Nix the valtra. Bit of a shame really, valtras are versatile machines with many different uses. But that monitor has to go. P.s. even though soil temperature does not restrict planting, the time of year does. Im running the midwest seasons climate so for me crops like soybeans and sunflowers cant be planted till day 3-4 in spring. Im not sure if other climates are different

Slurry is good for the grass fields

You should play multiplayer on this farm with 1-2 more players becouse its going to be a lot of jobs around all 3 animal types and of course a lot of field work...

Giants should make a option to have a monitor or to not have a monitor in the valtra

Hi Daggerwin. With regards to animals, based on my experience in seasons, the cost of pigs in terms of feeding them makes them unprofitable. Unless you can find a butchery mod that allows you to sell pigs for a premium you would be better off selling the crops that you use to feed pigs for the low return in birth rate and sales at the animal trading center.

Buying sheep in Spring is very expensive. you should hold out and get a better deal

Daggerwin can you get the baler on demo for the 1st summer and have it delivered to the farm by the dealer on there lorry. Then tack it back arfter the harvest. You might get a good deal next spring if you wanted to buy the xdemo baler

You should use drive control you need to sell the bail rapper as well as the bailer

Daggerwin you should get the million pounds and buy 2-3 grass fields and 1-2 big arable fields and some machines if needed

Are the grass fields actual fields, or are they just wild grass? If they aren't fields, then you won't need to spray anything. (You also won't have to buy any of the other ones, you can just mow them as a kind neighbour) I was going to ask you to get a newer Ford tractor, but by the power of Google, I have just had an education on why that won't happen!! I think keep the Valtra, for the reverse drive mowing (unless you get another later?), I also like the New Hollands. But you have already said you are getting a John Deere. One thing I have just realised though, I don't think you have ever had a Deutz in your Let's Plays? I find they have a nice sound in the game, just an option.
