This is probably the best tutorial I've seen. just started playing recently and your videos are by far the most helpful.

I'm not a newbie to Stellaris, and have 594 hours in the game so far, but I'm finding this tutorial to be incredibly useful, and interesting. This is just what Stellaris needs right now, as things have changed so much in the game. I always play Stellaris with a ton of mods, but this is actually making me want to play the game again with no mods. Look forward to following the rest of your amazingly detailed tutorials.

Finally a GOOD Stellaris tutorial! One that doesn't take for granted every concept only for min-maxing things.

ColorsFade took the an outstanding approach to teaching. It has really helped me understand this game. I especially appreciated him giving tips on how he personally likes to play (and why) and which DLC's are must haves. Another great idea is his decision to show all the DLCs and points out what the flavor or richness a particular DLC gives you.

I am brand new to this game and I've watched a number of beginner tutorials but this one stands out as the best I've ever seen. Because you take your time in a very calm manner to explain what the menu items are used for without rushing through. Also I appreciate how you showed what the DLC's give you in the menus and what the base game gives you without the DLC's.

IMHO this is the best tutorial/explanation on later versions of Stellaris in KZfaq. Great job, CF! And also thanks for other Stellaris walkthroughs, they are really fun to watch.

Total newbie, I just purchased the game because the fine folks at Paradox are convinced I will really love it, I own (Cities: Skylines and all the DLC's). I am enjoying the videos so far, I am 54 and not a gamer, but the pandemic changed all that, and it is so useful to have videos like this that don't assume the player is versed in "norms and techniques" long time gamers take for granted. So many youtubers to pick from but this guide is the most helpful. Playing the console edition and this guide even tho on PC has helped me understand many of the mechanics. Keep making great videos

51:00 One minor note on trade. Trade routes become important once you reach a medium sized empire that is not gestalt consciousness. If you don't manage your trade routes you lose money and risk piracy.

Just a minor correction at 23:35 Planetary Unification will consistently continue to show up in society tech choices regardless of whether you select something else to research first unlike the others (its not effected by the random tech alternative element) as its related to the Prosperous Unification Origin. Thats the reason for the gold highlight. In the second video at 9 minutes, that's why despite the fact you went expansion instead of discovery (which leads to the 4 tech alternatives tradition) you received 4 tech choices rather than the default of 3 despite the tooltip saying you were only supposed to see 3 counterintuitively. Excellent series though, thanks for the uploads.

Hi there Colorsfade gaming. Just wanted to say this EMPRESS has owned this game for quite some time big fan of the classic MOO series, I almost own all of the DLC for STELLARIS and own it on two gaming platforms PC and XB1. The scope is daunting with this game. I appreciate your series of the 2.7.2 and I think that the game has updated again and am happy that it is still important to the development team. I did however notice that when I jumped back into it on Steam. When I bought the Paradox interactive version I also got Steam codes which I found myself excited that once I got Steam that I was able to redeem all the codes for STELLARIS and any DLC I had purchased and it was nice that I didn't have to buy it all over again. I bought Battletech played the board game for over 25 years own the 25yr anniversary box set and happy that the devs stayed true to the tabletop board game. The districts and new changes to the game I felt like I was free floating I am not sure if I like this excessive complexity but I do appreciate that they are still keeping it balanced and making it interesting and updating it. I find your tutorial videos I think I am on tutorial 2.7 episode 7. I often play stellaris when I watch your videos too. I play alot of 4x games and my adoptive brother has console edition as I do so I am sure it will be fun to play on our Xbox gaming night every Sunday

Hey, just bought the game! I played EU4 quite a lot, and Stellaris is kind of the same, but still very different! I jumped right into the game, but after 3h of playing I noticed I was doing some stuff not really efficiently. You give a very good explanation on doing what first and why! Instant sub! However, despite the language, I only found weird talking people throwing stuff at me, too much to comprehense and rapidly crossing over all subects - and even worse: every few minutes encountering things they did nod know themselves.
