Oh my mouth is watering! Such a great thing - reminds me what my dad was doing when we were kids. Best thing ever. Better than any Michelline restaurant.

Very nice sausage. Seems you need to make a tactical sausage review as well.... Nice knife, nice food. Try the Nurnberger white small sausages, they are awesome, worthy of extreme adventures.

Good video. I've never seen a fire started so easily.

Thanks. It was very hot, low moisture in the air, probably helps a lot with these fire steels LOL. Also i think there is a huge difference with alloy composition of them. I've used some and they either barely make any sparks or the sparks are like weak and small. whatever one uses to scrape them with. Out of about a dozen different ones, i only a several which are reliable. Many that come packaged (supposedly free) with knives, are very poor IMHO. The ones they are packaging from Extrema are def good quality one and as good as an original Swedish fire steel i inherited from my dad, that was like when i was a kid LOL, it looks terrible but works like a dream.

@@BushCampingTools Moisture in the air affects fire starting a great deal for sure. Good info on the fire steels. Thanks

First, really nice reviews you got. I watch them often. Especially on the italian brands. Speaking off, how would you rate/compare fox and er? Thank you!

Hi, many thanks for your comments and many thanks for you watching my videos! I think both companies make great products which can suit a variety of users and environments. Like cars, not every model may appeal to any one particular person. For me for example: I love (and used to own) a very cool turbo charged Subaru but of course this doesn't mean I like all of Subaru models or it would not be relevant to compare this Japanese made turbo charged car to say the Mitsubishi EVO, even though they are both AWD and both Turbo. It's the same for knives. There are things which I really love about ER knives and scabbards , especially their amazing grips and as a scientist, I liked it very much that they had these handles designed with the help of university researchers specialising in biomechanics. FKMD/Fox also make great products and have some very good blade shapes which might appeal to a wider outdoors audience such as hunters and just hiker/campers. Both make great products and thats why i use them and review them because i don;'t want to waste my time reviewing garbage knives or any outdoor products, so my viewers don't waste their time buying rubbish products. They both make very distinctive products despite them both making knives, if you see what I mean.

Much appreciated! I have compared some tools from them and i find fox the better choice. Because of the price. Fkmd the most, correct. Not black fox, etc. The heat treatment is kinda the same with both and the grinds also. Some fox are finer, thinner. But usually both companies make fool proof tools, much like esee. Thick and very thick 😂 Both companies have very good sheath designs, but only er is nice made. I have only one fox sheath that is made with attention to the details. The same with lionsteel sheaths. Nice on paper, shitty in hand. Makes me wonder actually. Italians are renowned for clothes, purses... don't see that in their sheaths. Anyway, i also like modern kukris. From fox i have both the tactical and the survival. Big difference, although almost the same knife, except the first half from the tip. The er ks, how would it compare to the fox? Should i buy one? Thank you!
@BushCampingTools2 ай бұрын
@@zarplialabai3420 At the moment i don't own either of their Kukri knives, although I like both their designs. BTW one of my fav FKMD knives is the Rimor. and yes, ER's sheaths are extremely good I think. As you say I'm not sure why fox is not making better scabbards, especially their synthetic models, the leather ones are ok though.

Hi. What you want to swop me for my Puma White Hunter?
@BushCampingTools2 ай бұрын
Ha ha! Ah, the lure of a PUMA WHITE Hunter! You know I had the chance once of buying an original many years ago-ok, not that many years ago maybe 12 years or so ago. It was in fairly good condition but no scabbard-although he had the original plastic box. It took me some time to get over the screw up I made by not buying it at the time, don't encourage me now LOL otherwise it will cause me a divorce! many thanks for watching! You may like the videos (if u haven't already seen them) about my PUMA Hunters Friend-an original 1974 production!

Good man. I got a very old Puma white hunter on my belt with a Ruger single six .22 revolver. Cowboy style. I bought a new white hunter quite a while ago and to scared to use it. I have learnt a lot from you which I thank you for. I am about to buy a 5 inch knife and I can’t make up my mind if I should get the one with serrations or not. I my case there is always rope involved so I am tending towards the one with serrations. A leatherman is also a very handy to have in your pocket.
@BushCampingTools2 ай бұрын
@@zr1pja Working with ropes, def a partially serrated blade for sure, as you just can't beat a serrated edge for quickly cutting through ropes or cords of any descriptions.
