I am a musician of 56 plus years and I am disabled now and I can't play keyboards anymore. I found Band-Maid back in 2014 on Facebook and new they were talented beyond belief. I have collected everything that Band-Maid has produced since 2013. My walls and and displays are filled to the brim. I will continue to promote Band-Maid for as long as the creator will allow me to live. Thank you for the reaction and love for Band-Maid. 👍👍🤘🤘❤🇺🇸

Well said! I'm a fan of Band-Maid since COVID happened. At that time, I was bored at home and looking for a fresh band on KZfaq that I've never heard before and it recommended to me these ladies. The first song I heard from them was not Thrill but Real Existence and I was blown away 🤯! And, my pigeon hole begins there. Digging their songs, members etc deeper and deeper. IMHO, the most impressive among these ladies is Miku (I'm a Kanami fan - like her on and off stage persona). From zero knowledge in guitar to having her own solo guitar for the Influencer. She is willing to step down as main vocalist of the band to Saiki as she thinks her voice is not suitable for the band if they go to hard rock. I mean, how many people can do like her. Her persistent and passion to keep the band till now is incredible. Someone needs to interview her what her advice is so that, we can learn from her and her band.

Absolutely! Miku is a leader and it’s obvious she has a great vision for what she wanted with BM. It’s impressive. And the results are amazing. Very inspirational and I can only imagine how many girls she had inspired to pick up a guitar and just go for it. And on top of that she had found herself an incredible pack of musicians. Like every single member of this band is so freakin’ over the top in talent. No slouches in this band. Everyone is top shelf all the way. Real Existence is an absolute banger of a track. So awesome!

@@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow right? The first impression of that MV is Akane. She was hitting the drum kits so damn hard like someone had eaten her lunch or something. And then, the guitar solo from Kanami melted me away. Then, the next song I checked was Dice. The song were started with drum fills and the bass line from MISA! At that time, I was surprised, "Is it legal to start with that?!" From that moment, these ladies are legit and the real deal.

日本から。 Thank you for your accurate and excellent analysis and commentary on BANND-MAID and this Blu-ray. The girls do their best to please their fans. BANND-MAID also has a "Team BANND-MAID," consisting of sound engineers and others who back up BANND-MAID. They, too, are working hard, including technically, to make sure that their fans enjoy BANND-MAID concerts in the best possible way. Of course, the most important thing is the music that BANND-MAID produces, but since BANND-MAID is a live band, a great show is only possible with the support of "Team Band Made". The band members, as well as supporting members, spare no effort. It is a wonderful teamwork. BANND-MAID is a treasure of Japan.

Nice review. Got mine a few days ago and as you said the sound mix is exceptional. I saw the live stream of the concert and thought the sound was good but this Blu-ray mix is so much better. I really appreciate the clear separation of Miku and Kanami's guitars into the left and right channels, which the live stream audio did not. The documentary was great also. It was a nice touch to let us peek into their meeting room. The documentary also show how they keep going strong with the same members for so long, by being collaborative and so supportive of each other.

Yeah the vinyl is hella expensive. I hope the labels reissue their records so more people can afford to buy their albums / EPs. It sucks that eBay flippers are making huge amounts of money off the band and the band isn’t seeing a cent cos the label hasn’t pressed enough to meet demand. Fingers are crossed for reissues. Same with Lovebites. Someone needs to reissue their older albums. The resale prices are insane!!!!

Just got mine. Am watching tonight. I watched it live online starting at 3am on Nov 26 and it was a truly fantastic experience. The mix was amazing and Saiki's voice was in top form (for 3 hours!) One thing I have to say as a kind of public service announcement... I don't know what happened with the Tokyo Garden mix. That concert sounds harsh and thin at the high end. You can hear it on the No God and Puzzle vids from the show. In contrast, the online Covid shows sound fantastic. Band-Maid needs to release more official videos from those shows, like Why Why Why, and also songs from the Eggman show. I appreciate Instrumental Maid posting them but I feel they should be on the official channel. Anyway, thank you for your video here and sharing your story. I also resisted clicking on them when the YT algorithm kept on putting them in front of me but then I finally gave in and watched the Secret My Lips video. WTF?! Then the Onset video. JAW-DROP. I can't express how much this band has enriched my life since then.
@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow4 ай бұрын
I think live videos can always be hit or miss. It surely can’t be easy to mix a heavy rock band that has so much going on. But damn, the people behind the mix on this blu ray nailed it! I really can’t believe how good this sounds sonically. It’s huge! And I just love how well it captures everything perfectly. I’ll have to go back and listen to the Tokyo Garden mix and check the comparison. I honestly don’t remember that one. I’ve watched so many. 😂 The only thing I wish was different seems to be the same thing I see echoed elsewhere and that is that there are no subtitles during the lengthy talking in-between some songs. There’s subtitles on the doco but not during the show. I’d love to know what they’re talking about. But honestly, it’s about time I learnt Japanese considering how many times I go there. 😂

Yeah everything of theirs is expensive. This wasn’t cheap for the blu-ray but our dollar is doing good against the Yen so I grabbed it. Their vinyl is ridiculous though. I bought their LPs in Japan for like $35 each. If I wasn’t in Japan I’d be looking at $80 - $150. Crazy!

The maid gimmick is a great kind of nest as it repells narrow-minded people, retaining only genuine music lovers.
@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow4 ай бұрын
That's definitely one way of looking at it. I personally think the gimmick is pretty cool. Miku had a vision and she ran with it and it worked. In a world with so much music, you really have to find ways to stand out and they did it and have the songs to back it up.
@miqoto4 ай бұрын
Initially Miku could only sing. Couldn't play a lick on the guitar. The management asked either she or Saiki to do guitar, Saiki declined so it fell to Miku. Correct vinyls only were printed a few years ago(they were only CD only prior).
@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow4 ай бұрын
Yeah I am always amazed at how Miku has held this all together and followed her vision. Her playing guitar was obviously the right decision. The two guitar attack is so much more powerful!

@@Bodneyblue I can’t read music either. I don’t think it’s a necessity if you’ve got a good ear for music which it appears she definitely has. Definitely talented in more ways than just her guitar abilities. She has a great vision for the band too.
@ApexRadius4 ай бұрын
@@TheLongGoneLoserRockShowcorrect. Most guitarists I've known or played with didn't read or didn't do it well. Most of them knew at least some theory but played by ear and/or used tablature. Kanami probably does all the studio work because she writes all the parts, records a lot of tracks, and it's simply much more efficient. Studio time is expensive and bands typically don't get very big recording budgets these days. Ultimately, the band members are on the hook for the bill. Miku has said that she plans on tracking some of the guitar parts in the future but she and Saiki typically have been very busy with tracking vocals.
