There has been a lot of news surrounding the decision of Benjamin White regarding his decision to not joining the England squad for these upcoming international friendlies. News emerging about his conduct, commitment and demeanor towards the England camp, stemming from his exit from the squad at Qatar 2022, has been plastered all over social media and news outlets.
This video I give my (controversial to some) take on what has been going on, particularly examining the factors as to why he has made this decision.
While I focus on Ben White for the video, I think it is important that the message can relate to other elite athletes and the decisions they make with their career. Not every person has the ambition to be the star of the show, nor the same obsessive nature of wanting to consume content all around their profession. People can enjoy their jobs but may have activities or hobbies outside of their work that they enjoy, and Benjamin White is no exception to this.
