I find your response myopic. The three point shot had existed for decades before teams started designing whole offenses and then defenses around it. Shooting it at rates never seen. The idea that some past players played with their backs to the basket a lot is one thing, but designing an entire offense around it post-3 point shot revolution is unique and genius. Doing the exact opposite of what some are doing at the time. Really silly that you put laugh emojis in your comment to somehow inform me, a 42 year old former college basketball player and current coach, of back to the basket play. Were you entertaining yourself? I’m confused here.

@@drsaintdc I honestly think your a pseudo intellectual who takes themselves to seriously If your bothered by laughing emojis so much that it prompted you to bring your whole resume up Is a indication of being pretentious and small your not that collected as you think you are. A concept such as posting up to initiate offense is not genuis in my opinion since its has been done with horns or Princeton cuts plays where instead of the final shot being a midrange now its more 3 point focus. If you find this genuis then who I am to tell you otherwise Dr. Thesaurus

They changed rules because the rule changes they made before created these situations. Rules that handicap defense in favor of offense has not made the game a better product, rather shifted from a team sport to one on one, excessive dribbling, slow back downs and bully ball. I get that those with limited knowledge of the game are fascinated by offense and ball hogging, wide open lanes, and entertainment. Booty ball is exactly how gradeschool kids play.
