Your statement at the beginning is wrong... the National Basketball League merged with the Basketball Association of America to form the NBA. talk about your technical fouls...

They changed rules because the rule changes they made before created these situations. Rules that handicap defense in favor of offense has not made the game a better product, rather shifted from a team sport to one on one, excessive dribbling, slow back downs and bully ball. I get that those with limited knowledge of the game are fascinated by offense and ball hogging, wide open lanes, and entertainment. Booty ball is exactly how gradeschool kids play.

hey guys, I have a question can bootyball really translate to NBA? I know brunson made his style of play unstoppable in the league but the fact that NBA has the 5 sec against the basket rule players cannot post up for a long time
@Dreadnok_K63 күн бұрын
It was the Marc Jackson rule, not Barkley, stop lying just cause Jackson got black balled from the NBA.

This offense is hilarious. Reminds me of a clip from MMA where this guy is just on his ass trying to get the guy standing up to climb on top of him.

Jordan was deadly with that post move. Of course you gotta have good mid ranger jumper with triple threat moves

Gary Payton was a really good post up guard during his years with the Sonics. He could dish to Detlef or Big Smooth out at the three point line, too.

Until the mid to late 1990’s this was just called post play. It was considered too basic to even bother giving it a nickname.

Makes me think of Mark Jackson with the Pacers and Knicks. I remember as a kid noticing that he done this in the half court as soon as he was guarded.

8:30 more evidence that Jalen been good. He didn’t suddenly break out, he wasn’t given as much opportunity because he got drafted with Luka and then earned stater minutes but was still the secondary option. Once he was given the reigns he did what he’s been doing.

Kenny Smith is saying Barkley but honestly it was Mark Jackson because he was a guard taking like 12-15 seconds just backing someone down. It was effective it just slowed the game down and they changed it. Barkley was already in the post and just didnt need that long to move somebody.

And the crazy thing is: Marcus wasn't even our best player this year. Far from it tbh. Just speaks to how good Terrence was and how dynamic that duo was. That is a real good team. Too bad we had the best team this century in our bracket...

Marcus Domask was incredible as Illinois' de facto point guard. His bully ball was pretty unstoppable all year.
