there are two Eids. This one is Eid-ul-Fitr. Other than what they explained I wanted to add a few things.... Fitr is the money we give to poor people before eid so they can join us in eid celebration. Both Eids last 3 days and usually people spend day one with family second and third day visiting relatives. Also In many cultures elders give "Eidi / Eidia" to children which is just money. Which we all love 💸. we are all very happy coz of conclusion of month of Ramadan Kareem. The other Eid (Eid-ul-Adha) is almost same. we get up early.. take bath ..wear new clothes and go for Eid prayer. Then we come home and we slaughter cattle in the name of Allah. It's a very tough task especially if you do this yourself. The meat that we get from the animal we make 3 equal parts from it and distribute 1 part amongst poor , give 2nd part to family and friends as gift and the last part we keep for ourselves and we feast on it. There's no 'Eidi' on this eid and instead of fitr we distribute meat of our animals that we slaughter in name of Allah. and yeah on 2nd and 3rd day we visit family and friends and call the distant ones and wish them happy Eid.
@sasucchi95
@sasucchi95 3 жыл бұрын
Also not to forget about eidia!! (Eid’s money😎) Depends on families LOL its usually for kids, but in our family the older you are the more money you get ! Kids ($3) adults ($60+)🤣 imagine $60 from every family member LOL Esp grandmas they give a lot😹😹😹 And in other families they would be like “you are an adult now you cant get an eidia!! You should be giving eidia to kids now that u r an adult” Thank god we are the first family 🤣🤣🤣

We will be celebrating Eid in lockdown in Turkey too . So we don't get to see our relatives or elderly . In Turkey as childeren we usually go from door to door and say "Ramazan Bayramınız Kutlu Olsun" which means "Ramadan Mubarak" and we collect money and sweets from our neighbours or elderly . Its a really nice tradition but we can't do this because of lockdown . Anyways I really wish all of you a happy Ramadan !

Jesus was never born on December 25th. It has been proven many times. Jesus was born in the summer but that date is not proven, but it is 100 percent proof that Jesus was not born on December 25th...... December 25 was the festival of the pagans. In the 300 years since the birth of Jesus, no Christmas has been celebrated. The Christian clergy of the time made Christmas celebrations for the pagans in order to propagate Christianity. December 25th is the birthday of the original pagan god. And it is because of the pagans that the image of Jesus is made. It is a deviation from the original one theism Christianity...

@@akhilwilson972 because actually we don't celebrate birthdays , and also the celebration of the prophet Muhammad's birthday is not from sunnah or even from Quran , it's something that some ignorant muslims created , and it is common between people ,but scholars warned us from celebrating his birthday and we don't even now if it is true that he was born in that day , the only thing we now that he died in that day 💔 , so returning to Christmas I have to tell you that we don't celebrate it because Christians made that day for glorifying their god birthday -as they believe - and don't believe in this , we believe he was a prophet and a human and we love him and call him "Aissa " as mentioned in Quran .. And the second reason is that we don't celebrate birthdays as I said before but We love "Aissa " and his mom "miryam" ❤

When I was being introduced to Muslim and Jewish holidays (most of my friends were Jews and Muslims). Some of the holidays had to be link to Christian and American holidays to make some sense to me. After I learned them. I disconnected the holidays from Christian and American holidays. It’s sometimes best to link holidays to make an easier understanding. I wish it was acceptable in the West for Muslims to get Eid-al Fitr off, so that Muslims can help with the necessary preparations and such for the feast/ (halal) partying. It sounds like an important family gathering and should be respected as such by the governments. And, also, Muslims shouldn’t be penalized for having the day off from their jobs. To me, it seems similar to Christmas, but most Christians in the West get Christmas off without penalization, depending on the workplace.
