Keep in mind Blade stayed away not because he's a deadbeat ass; he stayed away to protect Brielle and her mother. Blade has a lot of enemies who would love to turn Brielle and her mother into fleshy confetti just to torment Blade. Plus, he wanted her to have the normal childhood he never had. But when she really needed him, Blade showed up. Blade truly cares for his daughter.

Remember in the Marvel universe Vampires and how they function along with the abilities they possess is very magic based unlike Morbias who's vampiric abilities is more scientific based. That's why when Blade got bitten by Morbias his abilities and physical attributes changed significantly and I'm under the impression from what we know so far she has inherited this hence her "special blood"

Inhumans are the result of the Kree attempting to replicate that work, and Vampires are te result of Cthonic virus. "mutant" is a deceptively broad term that those iwht the X-gene have cooped for htemselves. For instnace, Spider man and the fantastic four are TECHNICALLY mutants...thier DNA has definately mutated..but they don't actually have an X-gene.

There's already a character like that: Vampire By Night. She's the niece of Werewolf by Nifht who inherited their family's curse. And then she was bitten abd turned by a vampire. So she has powers from both sides.

@@PeecamarkeI agree it is sexist for sure, but not wrong. It’d be nice to have a good mix of heroes but the legacy characters seem to be daughters a lot more than sons atm. Gotta get a good balance so there’s a great dynamic on a future team

Why would he pass on this curse on to his children. He never would he never wants to be a farther or give his blood to someone to save there Life. He never wants anyone to go through what he goes through. The the thirst the serum the hunting he wants to take that burden that vampire war on his shoulders. And kill them all so that at the end of the day he will be the last vampire. And he'll take the cure and live out the rest of his days finally putting an end to vampires.

It’s not about staying in their own corner. Someone from the culture of a character has experiences that makes it easier to bring that character to life in a full way. It’s not that people can’t/should never write someone of a different race/culture/religion, but because historically people weren’t able to write the people who represent them they were misrepresented. You would get caricatures and stereotypical characters. In a world where people have a better understanding of each other/an ideal future these things won’t be issues. You can create and write any character, but only someone who has intimate knowledge of experiences that character would have had the ability to draw deeply from those experiences to create a character who fully represents them. Doesn’t mean someone of a specific group is a better writer, it’s just means they ideally have more to pull from for the full identity of the character.

The writer was guilted into being kicked off blades book because he was not black and even to this day they are continuing with that practice of diverse characters being only written by people of their community. Ill use Black Panther as an example cause the best person who could have elevated his book into a must read book for comic fans was Jonathan Hickman but they instead went with Eve Ewing(a meh writer) because she fits the checkbox. Characters like him, Kamala, Miles, Iron Fist, and etc are being forced to be written only by people in their communities as opposed to having a good pitch. I swear if they made a Joaquin Torres Falcon book, id want Jim Zub or tochi onyebuchi to write his book cause they showed me on their previous work they could do great things with the character but because neither of them are hispanic, that will be a No No No, Same with Kelly Thompson on Ms Marvel, or Sina Grace on Simon Baz Green lantern, but again, they dont match the check boxes of the characers so its going to be a denied pitch
