​@Tgaxgriffen I think that's the best part, personally. Sins of Sinister is designed as a story that plays out through 1000 years into the future then comes back to "the present". Sure some things are going to follow into the present day story from that future but that means most of the rest will be reset. This will have consequences to move forward in the main timeline.

So, narratively they're sort of doing a Secret Empire again then. I'm reminded of Lizzie Wizzy's boyfriend trying to use the Arasaka soul backup to alter her personality in Cyberpunk (to stop her from becoming a cyber psycho sure, but the basic concept is terrifying; imagine them replacing anyone they feel has gone a little too far, and that getting out of control. Spider-Man turns on you and starts hanging out with that registration act traitor Captain America? Back him up to a more loyal version. Iron Man against using an inhuman pre-crime dude? Back him up to full blown crippling alcoholism. I got to the point of the video where it's revealed that Beast is backing _himself_ up, but the way it was worded I thought The Avengers had a clone or something). It's all kind of morbid. We've had multiple clone sagas already in Spider-Man and it never works out well (like, story quality-wise, not just for the characters). I wish the writers would stop using the "hey, here's the good version of this suddenly villainous, formerly beloved character too punch out the bad one and replace him!" trope. It's a cop out

I'm sure there are risks to assuming he can 100% trust himself, but he's not Mr. Sinister who has a [possibly] tweaked up narcissistic personality and quirkiness that makes him overcompetitive and prone to betrayal. Beast can trust himself in the regard that he's single-mindedly focused on the protection of Krakoa at all costs (not bettering himself). That could mean sometimes doing away with a Beast or two for the overall goal, but still...

@@bajansamurai The issue is that inside of Beast...even he knows there is a Hero...and a Hero would stop him...(just thinking in written form and adding to the discussion...i feel that is necessary to state some times lol)

@@Gambit2051 True to a point. I posited that they're going to do this externally. There won't just be a hero in Beast, there'll literally be a heroic Beast on the outside. Here's what I thought months ago when people were lamenting that Beast was being ruined by making him closer and closer to a villain: "What if he left a backup of himself from before he started doing things by any means necessary?" OR "What if out of sympathy for who he was, a twisted thanks for doing what others wouldn't but was necessary, or out of respect for technically authorizing him to do whatever he saw fit to do, after a death they use an edited backup of pre-villainy?" As a spin on having once brought Beast and the other OG X-Men forward from the past, I can completely see an earlier version of Beast from a backup, who others wouldn't blame the same way for the things his older self did, being brought back. It may simply also be a necessity: 1) needing a Beast to bypass a biometric+ failsafe of his, or 2) needing someone who thinks like Beast to anticipate and counter what these Beasts are doing. Either way, they just revealed such a version of Beast is what he left behind after purging all of his other backups. I hope, I can't say for sure they will, but I do HOPE we get that pre-villainy, Avengers-Era Backup resurrection to give us back a Beast we can respect (even if it will be with the nervousness of knowing how far he could go given too much free reign). I also think it'd be neat if it's something he put in place with Professor "Shady" X that WHEN he goes too far and has to be discarded for his misdeads that he gets brought back as the best version of himself he thinks he was (and when others saw him as the bouncy, fun, philosophizing, quippy and heroic blue furball)

Well, there was Dark Beast, and Sublime Beast awhile back in X Men (think of a mutant version of Hannibal Lecture {evil with a capital E})

Dark Beast has already been shown on Krakoa. His disembodied head is in a jar in Sinister’s lab in Immortal X-Men, before Sins of Sinister began.

It is awfully convenient that all evidence of this Darkest Beast is gone from Krakoa's cradles and the good-guy Beast is left, isn't it? It's interesting about the Avengers-Era Backup (AEB) of Beast. It hints at something I posited and posted months ago when Beast started down this villainous path: "The writers can make him a full-on villain over time then use an earlier backup of him to resurrect him with." It serves multiple meaty purposes, and I just realized how deep it could go. I was thinking that he has Carte Blanche as head of X-Force to go against the rules and Laws of Krakoa such as, killing no man, and not having multiples of a still-living Mutant resurrected. Technically, part of the deal was that these are not punishable offenses for Krakoa blackops (although they'd surely be disavowed if they can't politic it away if found out). [If these are punishable offenses, the rest still applies though...] Aside from just punishing Beast with the Hole, he may be too dangerous [know too much, and be risky like Sabertooth was] to put in there, or [for plot reasons] to stop him, he and the mechanism that resurrects him scientifically and technologically needs to go. All of which leaves us with: the AEB backup! As thanks for his service, to honor his exemption from punishment technically, from a secret deal he made beforehand, OR in need of someone [heroic] who can think like [villainous] Beast to stop the Council of Beasts. In this way, we could get the "redemption" of Beast without redeeming him by replacing him with an uncompromised earlier version. After all, we've already seen Beast bring his earlier self [with the rest of the First Class] from the past to remind them of their heroism. We could even see a flashback where Beast sits secretlt with Xavier and says, "To do this, I'm going to have to do things I can't come back from. Krakoa is going to have to get rid of me. After all that settles, bring back a 'ME' from before I do any of this. Me that everyone thinks was the best of me." [The Avengers-Era Beast].

im really tired of people like these. you can have multiple clones of yourself you know, also nightcrawler in legion of X proves these are all the original x-men who have the same souls that wind up in the body. its already been established in marvel if clones last independently and develop their own self whilst the original or another clone is up then they can have their own souls. also if you still want to believe in your headcanon then you should acknowledge that captain america is a clone now since he was resurrected their way.

@@isaiahtr marvel has already been convoluted, you either accept it or don't. because if you followed the comics at this point even before the krakoa, the original captain america got his background and origins changed to being a hydra agent and the captain america after that event was created from the cosmic cube. original captain america has been corrupted and killed off. iron man also had some stint where he was dead but an AI version of him was made, as well as an AU younger version of him was brought in and underwent changes to be like the modern image of iron man to take his place. just saying that if you're gonna be hung up on this whole "original x--men vs. clones" then you should just drop comics all together because a lot of marvel characters have stopped being the "original" character.
