Social media is a double edge sword because it gives ignorant people a platform to spew their nonsense. I remember when I was in college a professor asked the class if we thought that an event like the holocaust could happen again. This was maybe about 17 years ago so the internet was already around but social media was not a thing yet, so we all answered absolutely not. That could never happen again. The professor quickly reminded us that the way Hitler was able to spread his message and brainwash people to the point of becoming desensitized to the hate and accepting as normal thinking, was through propaganda and using all forms of communication like posters, newspaper adds, whatever form of mass propaganda that was available to him. He then reminded us of the power of the internet and even television and told us to think about the question again. Social media is such a powerful tool and it’s available to impressionable people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and creed. Young people are more vulnerable to becoming desensitized to nonsense and hate that’s being spewed. People underestimate the radical ideology that can spread like wildfire because of how easily accessible it is to the masses. It can definitely be dangerous if we don’t treat it with caution, especially as parents in monitoring what we let our kids have access to.

Exactly Tasha! I Have 2 Light Skinned Sons And 2 Dark Skinned Daughter's, And I Have Never Heard Them Utter A Word About Their Different Skin Tones. They Have Always Seen Each Other As Equals!!

My momma and my sister are dark skinned, growing up I wanted to be darker like my mom. My momma is kind and beautiful inside and out. I’ve never in my life thought I was more attractive than any woman based off of skin tone.

I hate to see people talking about dark skinned african Americans, theyre glow ???? Is breathtaking !!! I love it , so beautiful!!! So shameful to see people speaking this way on the internet .

To believe people really, and still think this way is mind boggling. I listened to another reactor yesterday who was saying, Ming, Chrissy and Jazz are jealous of Olivia. WHY because men truly favor lighter skin females with real hair 😬😬. I quickly unfollowed her dark-skinned self. SMH

Happy Sunday TMR! Chile I had to go see who tf Ekane is because ignorant, colorist people really piss me off! I grew up in Mississippi and heard that a lot from the mayo people. It's very disappointing to hear it from our own.

So glad this subject was touched on. As a darker brown complexion woman, I've NEVER even thought of skin tones until I got older and I noticed that it was a "thang"! Other than that, I've NEVER had any issues with my tone and NEVER had it been a thought lol!!!! For anyone lighter skin to bring up their complexion, makes me think that maybe they think their more than or greater than bc of her skin. Hell, I just think all women of color are freaking beautiful, hands down and so do everyone else. Look how other races try so hard to look like us. Just think about it..... So y the hell would I compete in any way with another sister smh!

The Webb kids are with Olivia and I’m assuming they said they miss him because they knew they wouldn’t be with him on Fathers Day. Olivia already had a mouthful to say about him not fighting ‘her’ to have them.

I’ve been the lightest in my family my whole like. I’ve never felt that I was better than anyone or better than my dark skinned family members. It was not ok for her to say that Period!!!! I don’t watch Ekane because DV ain’t nothing to play with. I have a beautiful chocolate sister and I make sure to tell her how beautiful her skin color is every time I see her.
