Your channel, from what I understand, was never about you personally. I have always felt it was better to ask questions politely. I also never wear makeup and haven't in a very long time. One of the first things that drew me to watch your videos was that you were you and your love of crochet and yarn shines through. Thank you Crystal. I love that you bought and kept your grandparents' house. My mom just passed on 9/13/22, and I am doing the same with her small farm. It was my grandparents' house, too, and I grew up living next door to them on the same property. I love that place, even though there is no running water, and can't imagine someone else living there or buying it to build town houses on the land. My husband and I live about 30 minutes away in an apartment and we pay monthly apartment rent. But, that homestead is my security blanket; if my health issues get bad and I can no longer work or afford rent, I will have someplace to go. I love sitting in my rocker on my Mom's porch and watching the cars go by as I crochet. It will always be home to me.

I am not able to design items and I know it takes a LOT of time and effort to have a printed/written pattern. You have been very gracious answering questions that honestly aren't anyone's business. I find that crocheting is relaxing. I used to crochet using #10 thread and made doilies, coasters and table cloths back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Then I put it aside due to kids, school, after school activities and I also worked full time. In November 2018 I retired and decided to take up crocheting again. Due to arthritis in my hands I now only do projects with 4 weight yarn or higher.

These questions that people ask are just unnecessary. It's your life. Keep being who you are. I can't believe the questions you get asked. The make up one REALLY got to me.
