Let's Talk - The Otter COD in Polish

Ай бұрынI understand the views everyone has on this subject. But having talked to several people about it recently, I find that many breeders don't actually understand the otter gene at all and are afraid of it being a problem they can't avoid. I thought I would come on here and share some knowledge and some clips of Jeannie Fisher's (MN) otter project. I think we at least ought to understand what we are voting for or against to make the best choice. :)
I personally am positive toward the otter COD in Polish, but I can see why some prefer to let the breed be as it is now. I hope this video is informative for you!

UPDATE I have just made this video public again after posting prematurely! The vote is officially announced to be redone and all APRC members have been emailed. The vote will last a few weeks in June. Please take time to understand the gene and make an educated decision. Thanks for watching!

I understand both sides. We have 0 plans of working on otters if passed. But I also like to see hard work rewarded and if people really want to work on them, go for it. 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t get to see them up close at Nationals. But did in 2023 they did look great.

No! Leave well enough alone. If you want otters, do that in another breed - NO OTTER POLISH!
