I saw Sebastian 5 years ago. He's a terrible performer. His heart seems in it, but it's just a very tired and dated show. Erik is bringing life into the band. One is a rock star, one was and doesn't know his best days were 30 years ago.

@@marklucas7173 I grew up with SR too ..we all did, So if we put Monkey Business Sebastian , and Monkey Business Erik, side by side to sing in a vocal battle...i can't even - lol Oh , Mark 😅no way. Erik could never , ever replace the original voice of sr or the emotion depth that Sebastian easily brings to his performances.

If you had read his story, you would know he had cancer. I'm pretty sure thats why he's a little skinny. His story is incredible. I saw him at Planet Hollywood in April..he was amazing, especially when they played Chain Gang. His voice is very strong.

@@natasazanda5702 he 💯 is a Bach impersonator. He is a great singer.But all he has done so far is join bands HEAT then Skid Row. He is gonna end up labeled a great singer who joined established bands. I think even now Sebastian’s stage presence is 100 times better. Erik looks like he stole Olivia Newton Johns work out pants. And 29 years ago Baz would have wiped the floor with him vocally and stage presence. And if Erik is blessed enough to live to he as old as Baz some dude 20 years younger will be better than him way life goes.

Sebastian Bach sounded great when I saw him recently. The other guy can sing, but at the end of the day, he's no Bach. I just don't want to see Skid Row without Bach, Warrant without Jani Lane and half of Quiet Riot. And old Kip Winger singing Seventeen is... traumatizing not sexy like it was in 88.

As the sound engineer for Skid Row, let me enlighten you. The person that took that video was up against the stage away from the PA. Only the front fill speakers were placed along the front of the stage so you could hear the vocals. That’s a common configuration at large venues. The Sebastian video was taken further back and you hear the whole PA. Oh….side note, Sebastian is holding the mic wrong. 😉

Look, silly comparison. Two different videos. But let’s be clear. Sebastian at Eric’s age puts him too sleep. Seb has many hard years in his vocals. Eric is singing covers. Seb sang the original. There’s many many ways to Go here. Seb still sounds fantastic Eric is an amazing choice for Skid Row today.

All of the first Skid Row album was written before Bach was in the band. Slave to the Grind was pretty much all Rachel and Snake as everything after. I've seen Skid Row Harnell and Solinger 3 times. I'd take Gronwell over Baz. Was never Bach's band anyway.

I don´t know... Bach was NEVER able to sing his Skid Row songs live.. Not even when he was younger. And yes, Skid Row songs may be some of the most difficult to sing, EVER... But Erik is able to do it, and Bach has never been capable of defending them live.

Saw Skid Row in Tulsa this year. Was better than I thought it would be. Erik is a great singer,but Bach was better in his prime. To me,he made Skid Row what it was. Still my favorite band,but doesn't compare to their early years...

Ok. So aside from. Sebastian Bach's attitude and Ego issues, he sounds like crap now! Solo projects and saying he doesn't sing Skid Row stuff anymore, and that doesn't care? BS, He cares, he can't get over it, that SkidRow doesn't even think about taking him back and all his self righteousness. Crying and having a tantrum...as always! Did SkidRow suck for a long time? Hell YES. But..... OMG... I went to see my fav. Band: the Scorpions in March (30th & 30th) in Vegas. Honestly I was less then exited about Skid Row being the opening band. Yuck. So,... I was lucky to attend the live taping of Eddie Trunks interview w both bands. It was amazing! Snake and Rachel talked about how they found Erik, the amazing voice etc. And I loved the interview! Eric was great and funny, honest, no inflated attitude ...me and my HB were able to talk to Erik and Rachel after the interview for a bit.. Eric was so very sweet and down to earth!!! I still was apprehensive about the show... But when SkidRow got on stage Erik conquered us with his great stage presence, energy and boy oh boy...does he have a set of pipes!!! He nailed each song, one after the other, interacted with the crowd ... Just blew the crowd away! He talked about how a year ago he was close to death...how he beat Leukemia, that he bn a fan of SkidRow for ages...how thankful he was for the Scorps to let them open and the opportunity to be with SkidRow. I haven't bn a fan of them in many years... I mean, they sucked...bad! BUT...Erik is so amazing. Vocal range and all. He fits and works well with the band. A Keeper for sure! Check out his performances and his KZfaq channel before judging on a horrible live recording... Erik kicks Sebastians ass all the way! He also doesn't use a back up reel... (Kinda sick to see Sebastian w a bad attitude and voice still going true speakers, when he stopped singing and mic was down.) He was a great singer, many years ago, but not anymore. Just an angry and hostile has- been. Erik's star is just rising and he will make history!!!! I am a SkidRow fan again now! Went to see them a few more times after Vegas and he def. delivers evry time, getting even better, if that is possible. Go Erik!!!!! 💯💯💯🎤👑🎶🔥❤️

Why would you compare only the front Mic from Skid Row against the entire Mic'ed up team that Sebastian is leading? The kid currently fronting Skid Row is doing it as well (or better) than Sebastian Bach ever did. This isn't even close, Bas just doesn't have the voice he used to, sadly. New guy with Skid Row is just ridiculously good. Bas has pitch issues occasionally, no longer enunciates well, or at all, really, he practically just mumbles at times. No one could touch him in his best days.... but his best days are behind him.

Sebastian and Eric are not even comparable. Eric is 35 and should be ready to rock the crowd. Sebastian has sung his heart out and still does but his pipes aren't what they used to be. All the screaming he did for all those years I think his vocal chords said no more. He can still sing in singing voice but rocking maybe not so much. But he's great! And has earned every bit of everything he has. He's excellent in my eyes. Eric has the age but will never measure up.

I am swedish just like Erik... In both primes Sebastian kills it, he is one of the greatest rock singers of ALL TIME, But he has gone so lazy and sloppy on stage today, you go to a concert with Bach and he make the crowd sing half the songs for him and thats not cool. He still has a great voice unlike many other big rockstars, Paul Stanley, Axl Rose etc... I love Sebastian but sometimes i absolutely understand why skid row fired him/never took him back

So true. Sebastian always been struggling live but when he was in his 20s his performance compensated and then some for that... Today its more like "thats exactly what i expect to happen to a rocker when hes 60..."

É injusto comparar os dois. O Sebastian tem 54 anos. O Érick é ótimo. Voltei a ouvir Skid Row por causa dele. Mas quem é dos anos 90 e fã do Skid Row gostaria de ver o Sebastian com a banda novamente. Sebastian é insubstituível.

Nunca fui muito fa do Skid Row, conhecia somente 18 and Life, Youth Gone Wild e I Remember You. Nao sabia nem que eles estavam ainda na ativa. Mas esse ano, em junho, fui ao show do Kiss aqui em Lucca, na Italia, e a abertura do show foi por conta do Skid Row. Eu nao conhecia o Erick e pra ser sincero, adorei a performance deles, o show foi muito, muito bom! ( No meu perfil tem um video que gravei deles ) Mas pra mim foi meio estranho ouvir as musicas q eu conhecia cantadas por outro vocalista. Na minha opiniao, o Sebastian hj, em 2023, nao conseguiria acompanhar o resto da banda pois eles tocam demais! E sim, como vc, tambem voltei a ouvir e seguir o Skid Row graças a esse show. E o Erick é muito bom. Mas nao tem a mesma presença no palco como tinha o Sebastian. Enfim..... Viva o Skid Row!!!

Somebody needs to watch some more of Eric's videos and see how naturally he sings those high notes during that time because he had just gotten over having leukemia and was declared healthy weeks before that some people just don't know their information or the background it's annoying

He was on Sweden idol...Hes Swedish...thats why a few of his vocals annunciation is off a little..18 and and life kinda sounds like hes saying we king and life... Eric has a great voice....he doesnt beat Bach on a bachs good day...he cant carry the note as long as bach even today.

i've seen multiple video's of the Henderson show and this is just a bad recording, probably a cheap phone or something cause there's other videos that sound way better and a really good mix. Erik and the real SR is way better. Bach is barely huffin' and puffin' through half the lyrics.

Sebastian is Skid Row. SR knows they screwed themselves by getting rid of Baz, so they try and find someone that sounds similar, but no one will ever be as great as Baz. I saw him in Denver last Nov and he still sounds amazing, and has amazing musicians playing for him. If I had to pick which to see in one night, hands down I will always pick Sebastian Bach!!!!

Erik has the chops and rasp but his voice is very thin. Bach has a full range voice. Both good but the man who originally recorded the song deserves all the credit. Without him Erik doesn’t have a gig.

As a 52-year-old metalhead that listen to skid row to all the way through subhuman race the other guy has not got the tone nobody is going to have the exact tone pitch and notes I'm listening to it the guy can sing he needs his own songs he's not ever going to be able to match Sebastian even at Sebastian's age now I don't know what everybody else is hearing I'm a musician and a guitar player my whole life I think it's very evident Sebastian he sang it first the other guy don't sound right and he's a good singer he just needs his own songs just my opinion

Man it's not "Skid Row" without Baz, but he is looking and sounding really rough. Getting old sucks! My 1992 Van Halen tour shirt says "Right now youth is King" and indeed the new singer has the energy and pipes but like you mentioned SR is not SR without Baz just like Warrant is not Warrant without Jani (RIP) and Pantera is not Pantera without Dime and Vinnie. So in the latter case I hope they change the name next year! However as far as this video, it seems like both this iteration of SKid Row and Baz's solo band are doomed to play the casinos and free state fairs of the world until the end of eternity or until that faithful day they all go broke and decide to reunite with Baz in 2031 for the we are the Grandpas gone wild tour FTW!

There aren’t very many bands left with majority original members (Def Leppard comes to mind with just one lineup change in 40+ years because Steve Clark passed R.I.P.), but too many of them are down to just one or two. Not interested in seeing these guys as I lived through the 80s and saw most of them in their prime. I just feel like at some point you might just call them tribute bands. KISS is talking about filling all the costumes with younger substitutes. No way I’d pay stadium money to see a bar band. Half the time I don’t know what these guys are thinking. On the other hand, there aren’t any great young bands coming up to take their places…

I have seen Warrant's new singer. He's a great front man, but ? Jani Lane was Warrant.!! Kinda like Erik. I love the new stuff, but leave the old songs in the past, to the voices we know and loved. I know Rachel Bolan and Snake can write- no need to worry there.. Jani is Heaven. He wrote that for his daughter, just leave it in the past. Only my opinion.

Without Sabs voice, its just a cover band. The new guy has a decent voice but no emotion to the songs. Sabs is the voice of Skid Row, unless they go with a totally different sound. The new sounds cleaner only because he's younger.

I love sebastian but considering the present vocal ability of both Erik is the better singer by far, I was at the skid row show and they were amazing. Absolutely love Erik's old band h.e.a.t as well as skid row.
