I am finishing wrapping tomorrow. Their presents are in our homeschool room. We bring them down on Christmas Eve and then they wait to see what Santa brings. He brings their stockings and any gifts he brings are unwrapped so they get to see them right away when they wake up.

Our gifts only show up christmas morning. They don't see a scrap of wrapping till then ! We have breakfast and read Luke before opening, and have lunch. Then we send kids off to go enjoy gifts and we decorate our dining room like a birthday party, balloons, cake, candles etc and we have a birthday party for Jesus. Christmas eve is always with the great grandparents. We sprinkle in coco noghts, movie nights , drive and see the lights, etc but we keep it all low key no stress for mom making it day after day of activites!

Merry Christmas!!! Love your sweet traditions. One year I had my first born 3 year old son help me wrap presents and put them under the tree days before Christmas! Well, I guess with the excitement of knowing it was Christmas morning, he woke up and helped himself to a frozen waffle and started opening all the presents (I added more of course) and I finally woke up for some reason and found him smiling ear to ear! It was funny and alarming at the same time! Kids will be kids!! I don’t put Christmas presents under the tree until the kids are in bed now! Now my son is 6, daughter 4, and son 2. As a kid I loved seeing the gifts under the tree, idea 💡 maybe I just wrap a few empty Amazon boxes or buy the decorated boxes for the same effect! This year we want to do a birthday cake for Jesus too we’ve talked about it before but never did it.

I got a Mandie collection for my youngest sister this year! I read those books as a kid and she loves them now. I just have to say, I'm impressed by your ability to do both wrapping and chatting while filming, other than the one piece of wrapping paper that wasn't quite the right size. LOL! I have considered it but I think I'd just end up doing one or the other, either wrapping or chatting, but both would be too much for my brain. haha! I don't put presents under the tree until the night before we're opening them, so that the boys wake up to sudden presents on the morning we'll open them. I don't think they'd yet have the self-control to leave the presents alone if I put them out early, ha!

Thank you so much for continuing on KZfaq as I love everything you post because it truly comes from the heart. I love watching you and your girls as I have three boys that I homeschool and oh boy it's not easy but then I see your girls and I think oh, maybe it's not a "boy thing" it's just kids being kids😂. My boys are 7, 5 and 11 months and they don't slow down. I put all our Christmas gifts out Christmas Eve night because I didn't want the headache of having to rewrap presents from the little ones unwrapping then and have continued doing it this way because I still have littles, however, it would be nice to maybe put the presents that we get them out earlier and then just leave Santa's for later but who knows. A tradition that I have started since having kids, is I wrap the doorway/archway into the living room (nothing fancy) with wrapping paper so that the kids can't see what's in the living room and they have to run through it when everyone is all together 😂. Oh, and I haven't even started wrapping gifts... It's hard for us as we are self employed and don't have a support system so it's very hard for us to do anything no matter how hard I plan in advance. Thank God for shopping online these days as this wasn't me until I had kids as it makes my life so much easier.
