Its not always the case! Its more that the atheist and the Christian are more likely to just not along! And this has been my experience! Before I became a Christian I did hate Christians and that was a fact! I was incredibly harsh to them, so much that when I became myself, I have been forced to deal with people who are as obstinate as myself. Some have even tried to kill me! Right here in my home country of Canada I have made people so angry just for being myself and trying to be a positive influence to this world instead of a negative one that I have been rolled in the streets just for saying the Lords name and that He loves people! You have no idea what it is like until you wear those shoes! I was a punk in school so I was always trying to change the world but what I have learn is that he world wont change! We are on a set path! So choose which side your going to be and choose now for mankinds fate has been sealed. You think you change change the world? Save it from the incoming collision? Good luck on your journal to Christianity If you REALLY want to get some real meaning out of any of God's teachings and ESPECIALLY out of scripture PRAY before you read. You DON'T have to "believe" or have faith in God to pray. He says all you need is a DESIRE for faith/belief and that is enough to start with. Remember as you read this is supposed to be processed more like music or poetry not a novel or non fiction book. It is supposed to be processed by the mind AND the heart. If you pray for clarity and self revelation you WILL see the truth of His words. It will be such a wonderful feeling. To me it's like when I'm really cold and I slide into a hot fragrant bath and feel like I just melted all over but in a single moment. An all over relaxing shiver. Go get your feet really cold right now and then put them in warm water and you'll see what I mean. And EVERY time I do this it's always better than I remember. A hug from someone I love and miss feels much the same. I have also felt like this when I hear a newborn breathe and cry for the first time. It's probably different things to different people but to me it's melting in a hor bath after being cold. An absolutely delightful feeling which to me is how I should feel when connected to God's presence

I just saw the Shack last week or 2 weeks ago and it does an amazing job showing the love of the Father and the characteristics of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Congrats on accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. He loves you! And wants you to know He purely loves you for who you are and always been wanting a relationship with you! He deeply loves you!!!

I was in a deep depression.. I cried out to Jesus to take away the pain & when I decided to accept him into my life.. I was able to get out of that deep dark depression & continue living.. Jesus healed me & gave me hope.. so people can say what they want about Christianity.. but the truth will stay the same.. GOD IS REAL! And he is mighty & righteous & powerful & Loving.. he loves us all & wants us to give our hearts to him.. because he is our father & we are his children. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us. On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. Jesus' perfect righteousness will be accredited to you and you can stand in a relationship with the God of the Universe, a Father. If you repent and believe the gospel. ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved
