Last night at church, I was promoted to team leader for the silent prayer team that my dear friend and sister in Christ, Vivian, and I created. I was like: “Thank You, Lord!”

Just because we say the word amen doesn’t mean the conversation has to end ..

I have a super sweet friend who I’m blessed to know. Her name is Carie. I make sure I pray for her every night, and she always says; “Thank you, Jaime!” after that. I told her Jesus loves her tonight.

So true we all need to pray, and keep on praying. Jesus is the hope if the world. We all need his hope.

This song takes me back to a church cakewalk the late 90s I went to as a kid. *sighs This song represents a time when church/praise music was catchy-not like now, when it's all hipster. It saddens my heart that I can no longer go to the churches where I enjoyed this music and expect them to still play it. I dont get it: hymns don't change. Why should praise choruses?

Come praise the Lord for He is good Mmm, come join in love and brotherhood We'll hear the word and bring our gifts of bread and wine And we'll be blessed beneath the sign … So let us pray together, pray together Pray with the one mighty voice (heavenly voice) And let us sing together, sing together Pray and we'll rejoice (we'll rejoice) … When strangers reach out for your hand (for your hand) Respond to them and understand (heaven obeyed to understand) We'll rise as one to calm the storm outside the gate (We'll calm the storm) With faith in Him we'll never leave (never leave) … So let us pray together, pray together Pray with the one mighty voice (heavenly voice) And let us sing together, sing together Pray and we'll rejoice (we'll rejoice, we'll rejoice) … The love of God is on our side (love is, love is on our side) We have the strength to move the tide (we'll move the tide) The world will say so, there'll be peace and love for all (love for all) And we must give our brothers love … So let us pray together, pray together Pray with the one mighty voice (heavenly voice) And let us sing together, sing together Pray and we'll rejoice (we'll rejoice, we'll rejoice) … Love for all, love for all to the Lord We'll rejoice, love for all to the Lord We'll rejoice, love for all to the Lord We'll rejoice for the Lord

Dissociate faith from virtue, now and for good, and expose it for what it is: a servile weakness, a refuge in cowardice, and a willingness to follow with credulity people who are in the highest degree unscrupulous.

Dead on until the last word there. God is good, good is God. Faith in the creator is inherently virtuous.

Is is good to sing to the LORD but also i do not think he is the lord of the dance that song is worldy
@ssgcmwatsonusa6 жыл бұрын
Psalm 149:3 "Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp." Psalm 150:4 "Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs." If the Bible tells us to praise God with dancing, I think that gives SCC some theological support to refer to God as the "Lord of the dance".

The bible is not a theological or has nothing to do with theology
