Lisa is part of two iconic soap opera scenes - Kelly Nelson calling Nola Reardon out on trying to trap him into marriage on The Guiding Light, and Lily learning who her biological parents are on As the World Turns. A great actress who should have had a much bigger career.

I can’t believe it, Lisa Brown. We lost her old Guiding Light counterpart Mike Tylo months ago. I am deeply saddened because Lisa represented a part of a glorious period of daytime program. As the world turns enjoyed a return of excellence during the 1980’s and Lisa was a part of it. Although, GL and ATWT are no longer on the air, at least we have KZfaq to help us remember those fabulous times of daytime dramas, and watch Lisa Brown in what she’d became famous for. Love always and RIP.

God; I love Lisa Brown. She's got to be a Myers Briggs ENFP--always such the advocate. She was sooo brilliant as Nola on GL. Doug Marland was a genius and had the vision to recreate ATWT with Lisa and co later in that decade. If I could meet any soap star, it would be she. I'd love to hear her insight on Nola's character and the changes she began making in the second half of 1981.

I'm 37 now, and my mom loved "As the World Turns," so I grew up with the characters of Oakdale in the '80s and '90s. I always enjoyed the Snyder family, and Lisa as Iva was always one of my favorites.

Just love Lisa Brown. If I had to choose between which character Nola or Iva that I loved more, it would be hands down Nola. Even though I just adored both Guiding Light and As The World Turns. Can't believe that she's 63 now. Last I read she was helping her grown son James Buddy Nielsen who she had with Tom Nielsen who played Floyd Parker on Guiding Light, in some behind the scenes capacity with his rock band Senses Fail. He's the lead singer. I believe she was producing videos for the band.

She was great as Iva Snyder but Nola Reardon is the character she will be remembered for.

God, I loved Lisa Brown, particularly as Nola on Guiding Light. She was also great in ATWT.

I loved the interview but as the world turns was never on the radio

Brown was thinking of The Guiding Light on radio, I guess, and assumed ATWT started on radio, too, maybe since both were created by Irna Phillips--but several members of the original cast--Helen Wagner, Don Maclaughlin, Santos Ortega, Les Damon--all did radio work before doing ATWT.
