ah another duskers enjoyer who also immediately figured out the terminal commands

For anyone on the terminal: While playing for 70hrs I learned that the biggest mistake is to try to give some commands to the people in; what you should do instead is to give them information, not commands. This also means I never navigate them from the spot they are currently on, but instead from the place they entered the facility. Giving commands is much more efective but only if they are executed instantly, that is almost inpossible even with the walkie talkie. Giving information is therefore much better choice. Tell them there's a monster nearby, do not, at any circumstances, try to save them by navigating them back home. It's their decision if they can deal with the monster they will encounter around the corner.

me and my friends created a solution for the problem about teleporting them back, if they want to be teleported back they just have to spin, and that's it, very useful

Personally I just use these: Brack = Bracken in Area Coil = Coilhead in Area Yip = Hoarder Bug in Area (repeat just the first parts of every creature name to notify if there's one in the area, you don't usually need to say where because they will notice it VERY quickly.) LL = Loot Left LR = Loot Right LU = Loot Up LUL = Left Up Left (Abbreviations are key, you don't want to give too much information, you need them short and concise.) Leave = GFTO YOU'RE GONNA DIE IF YOU DON'T! Time (X time it is) = to tell them what time it is 360 = Tell them to do a quick spin to see if anyone is afk or dead, also helps against Mimic's. Then of course there's a few in this video that are good such as "GO (door number/letter) which means to go to that door marked with the letter/numbers as there is loot or a door to access the rest of the map, can also be used to help trap certain creatures for good such as jesters and coilheads.

isn't it shorter to type GTFO for leave?

I love the hoarder bugs being yip

Great Video hope this pops off because i think most players just overlook this item in the store as having no idea what it does

Some codes our group has adopted: DDP 2DOT - 2 dots (enemies) near DragonDePlatino DDP 3TRI - 3 triangles (loot) near DragonDePlatino PLOOP - Actually completely meaningless, just a funny word

Figure you can just assign a number to people at the beginning, since even if you are playing with 99 players with mods n stuff, its still 1 less character usage. And typically, its 2 less character usages so the important info is relayed faster
@TheCrownedCube4 ай бұрын
you could, but that adds alot of prep time to the matches, rather than putting the onus on mission control to just type out those 3 letter representations.

@@TheCrownedCubeyeaaah but if you're gonna do this you might as well go all out.. sounds really fun trying to sweat on terminal gameplay like it's the alien mobile game

You should pin the comments on your list of suggestions so people can read them while playing to learn them!

Ionno, for directions players move around so much the left/right doesn't hold much meaning unless they stand perfectly still waiting for directions. Usually we use it for general updates dogs/giants or time. If someone wants a handholding experience it's just easier to use walkie-talkies What's your highest vanilla quota?

I find giving directions to be unreliable, so I typically tell people where scrap is using the walkie and give information like player death and monsters using the signal device.

To clarify, it sends the message to all players, by putting some ones name or an abbreviation of their name it lets them know the information is relevant to them. Everyone will see every message :)
