See with only one or two patients with the same symptoms they may not have even thought it was a deadly virus. They could’ve thought it was pneumonia or just the flu and if they had both it could’ve very well killed him and that’s what they thought.

@@Alwaystash no the flu isn't a type of corona virus. Flu is an influenza virus. Depending on where you read, the regular 4 human corona viruses make up 15-25% of what we call the cold. 2 other corona viruses that infect humans which originated in animals are SARS and MERS both had higher fatality rates than the one we're currently battling.

There are many types of coronavirus all with different symptoms, infection routes and incubation periods. As the expert said SARS is a coronavirus just like our current pandemic covid 19 (corona virus disease 2019).

@@cluckoothechicken5721 risk of breaking the neck I would imagine. With the head elevated the pressure could snap the neck. Also I don't think you could get proper compression with elevation like that. But I am not a doctor. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

People are often instructed to lay the person needing cpr on a hard, flat surface, like the ground, instead of doing cpr on a bed or other soft surface that could absorb the impact of the compressions, preventing adequate compressions. The head is also supposed to be tilted up slightly so there is proper air flow.

@@myfairytalelife3 correct. i've been trained as a first aider. the patient has to be laid onto a flat surface. it could be anywhere, a table, the ground. sometimes a bed - in hospital or if there is higher risk of the dying if moved. cpr is dangerous is not done correctly. when doing cpr, the head must be tilted up to get the airway free of any obstruction. but you need to also check the airway yourself by checking the throat. make sure that the body isn't leaning to the side as well. lots of people who are untrained could put the patient well at high risk of further death if they give cpr wrongly

@@kayxvrr Yeah. It's a lot more difficult on the bed, but it can, and has been done before. Untrained people are also not always aware of the amount of pressure that should be administered while performing cpr. If the compressions are too weak they won't work, but if they're too strong the victim could be seriously injured. A victim's body must also be taken into consideration. Cpr is performed differently on a child and an adult. It's a fairly complicated procedure, and everything needs to be done correctly or the patient can die, or can end up with additional injuries and/or complications. As for checking the airway, if person is not careful the victim's airway might be compromised, or the victim may swallow, or choke on their own tongue or spit, or anything else that could be in the way.

There are multiple strains of corona virus. There is SARS or MERS or now, Covid 19

Unless the patient had Asthma or COPD. Then wheezing wouldn’t really be uncommon when sick. When I get sick I wheeze sometimes and I have Asthma and they’ve never done a chest x-ray on me since I have Asthma. I’ve also known a girl in high school every single winter she got sick and would wheeze and even the first time she was never given a chest x-ray just an inhaler and sent her home. It really depends on the patients history I would believe. (I’m not a doctor or nurse just from personal experience)

@@nash2454 Nope they never did any tests on me at all. Just listened to my lungs that’s it and I guess assume it’s my Asthma even if I’m sick. I’ve been sick to the point I had trouble breathing and they always said it was my Asthma and that it was probably making it worse.

But there are 6 or 7 types of coronavirus I believe. 4 of which are associated with the common flu that comes around every year, then there’s MERS, SARS, and now COVID-19(coronavirus 2019). Things got so bad because we weren’t prepared to treat it because we didn’t know anything about this variant before it appeared here but so many people don’t know any of this.

Covid 19 and coronavirus are not the same thing. Covid is the virus, coronavirus is the family of viruses that Covid is from. Also, there was an outbreak of coronavirus before, the 2002-04 SARS outbreak

There are 6 other types of coronavirus. 4 make up 25% of what we call the common cold. SARS and MERS were also coronaviruses. This was filmed even before the MERS outbreak of 2012.

@@catrachaV4 Sure. MERS was a relatively small outbreak. It was arguably more deadly but less infectious and so was contained more easily. Depending on where you live, it might not even have really broke into the news all that much. This one is harder to contain simply because it seems you can spread it when you are asymptomatic, which is why its important to stay home.

Zac Hall it’s been known for some time that SARS, MERS, the common cold are all coronavirus. There isn’t a conspiracy that they were hiding 6 type of coronavirus until recently. Anyone who bothered to look on the first page of Google at any time would have found this information out for themselves.
