And then Letitia looking SO amazing. Girl you look gooooood in that outfit! Very inspiring conversation.

These kinds of things seem mundane but they’re actually so important. Beautiful representation of 2 intelligent black creators who are immensely passionate about their craft. You can see their souls lighting up as they’re speaking about the most important parts of their lives. John as King in Woman King, the way he admires Viola both on screen and off screen. His accent in the film as a Nigerian was so dope. I was so happy. These two movies gave us so much. Letitia is such a force to be reckoned with! I've seen her earlier projects such as Urban Hymn, Top Boy, Humans, Banana and girl she always shines every time she's on screen. Wakanda Forever exceeded all expectations and Letitia led it very well. Congrats to Ryan Coogler for passing 750M at the box office in less than a month! I think it’s the best MCU film to date and they paid tribute to Chadwick beautifully. I’d love to see John in BP3

In 2011, within a matter of 10 months, my biological mother lost the entirety of the family in which she grew up: her dad and her older brother. Within less than a year, these two men who always had been her emotional and psychological safety net were gone. She would always think of herself as next-in-line when it came to death and became insanely anxious as well as paranoid. She literally had resorted to therapy to process out her fear, trauma, and gut-wrenching grief. 10 years later, she and I had some kind of fallout because of her actions and how negatively they all impacted my family and my singlings. I wasn't mad at that time but more so confused and aghast. However, watching Wakanda Forever and seeing Shuri losing her family safety net that quickly, without her being able to save any of them, reminded me of how lonely, frightened, and devastatated my mother might have felt back in 2011 and how she's been feeling ever since. It reminded me to be patient and to give grace. I'm also a Christian and I think watching Wakanda Forver was God's answer to my daily prayers. I always pray He heals broken families and, in the process of having my prayer come true, He had me go to the movie. Thank you a lot, Letita Wright, for your performance in this movie.
