Someone once asked why I watch your videos. It’s because they are very satisfying and relaxing for sure. But also very educational. I’d never imagined that to fix a pond you’d need an excavator. The motor grader is the most satisfying. I could watch it run all day and night. I love how it works. What a beautiful driveway.

About how much would a job like that set the owner back? I dread to think about the cost of something like that in the UK! Also, what's with the pond? I see a lot of property like these have a pond. Is it just somewhere for the water to run to off the property or is there any other reason? Thanks....
@tripler37243 жыл бұрын
@@bg6654 I'm sure Ken can tell you the cost, I pay $255 per truck; would have to check my invoices for tonnage. We have ponds on two of our farms with a good size drainage ditch through the center of our flat land farm. On our hill farms, some ponds are catchment areas for erosion control and a couple are combination erosion control and recreation, one is 5 acres and another is 5 acres stocked with cat fish, crappie, bass and blue gill. The kids also swim in them.

You have about the right conditions for that gravel. Personally, I stay away from gravel loaded with reject lime. It packs great but with all of that shade, it won't get hard like concrete too fast if ever. You wind up driving thru it and not on it. I started my drive with the same stuff applied the same way. I recently added on to my drive and this time I packed the dirt way better and then used some 2 1/2" base. The smallest stuff in it is 3/4". Rolled it in then 1 1/4" and rolled it down. Near the house I finished with 3/4".
