Not in a million years did I think a pond could be created out of that swampy mud pit. Then I remembered I was watching Chris and as usual a fantastic result. Just waiting for the final cleanup.

The pond looks awesome Chris, you’re the Pond Doctor brother, there’s no doubt about it! I was worried at first when you entered the swamp, I’ve never seen you unconfident about anything job! You looked that way the first day and I said it’s no hill for a climber! Well you’re the best Hill Climber I’ve seen! The water content would have to be very high. In which case its not stuck but it sunk.

Nice work. I live in Tasmania (Australia) & when I get a dam (pond) done, I do it in summer & sow grass seed in the dam. as the dam fills the water stays crystal clear & if the source is fine, it's drinkable.

It's a nice perspective that gives the viewers a chance to see just how much material that massive bucket moves. Besides, we get to see that custom-made thumb smack the hell out of the boom (34:43), which we would never have seen from the cab view! Probably best we didn't hear Chris' response...

What I'd give to have a few of those hardwood logs delivered to my back yard - run them through the bandsaw, set the slabs on stickers & in a year or three I'd have all the wood I need for all my projects...

It plays to the human natural urge to make order out of chaos. It is turning a horrid sludgy mess into something nice and neat and ordered, and it is incredibly satisfying to watch.

That AMI equipment Chris uses was made exactly to the specs he ordered. You can't go online and buy that anywhere else, so I guess it was worth the money and will last for a long time.

I do not know much about big earth moving equipment, but I sure love your excavator. It is quiet, smooth and powerful. Man that grading bucket is the ticket! The incredible volume it holds, with the ability to fine grade at infinite angles. Hope your getting a cut on future sales for the design.

I worked 37 years in the natural gas pipeline industry. A lot of it was maintaining the pipeline ROW and excavating. This brings back memories. It takes steady hands to dig around a loaded pipeline. You sir could make the grade.

In UK we build our bonfires on the ground level, to let the air get at the fire. There again we mostly have green grass fields surrounding us, so no risk of setting a local forest on fire. You guys certainly like your Fire Pits.

Just curious but do you recommend to bring in better material for the pond, such as the clay you have in other pond builds, or is it so cost prohibitive that it’s usually work with what you got for most customers? Perhaps for ponds of this size it doesn’t treaty matter or I am getting confused with what you have said makes a good pond dam vs just a normal pond edge.

What you call a grading bucket here in the land of Aussie we refer to them as mud buckets. Yes we do use them for grading and finishing work, but they are fantastic for moving lots of debris.
