momondo - Let's Open Our World

7 жыл бұрын

To celebrate diversity in the world we asked 67 people from all over the world to take a DNA test. It turns out that they have much more in common with other nationalities than they would ever have imagined. In this short film, you can join Ellaha on her surprising journey into who she really is.
Let’s Open Our World is an invitation to travel across boundaries, embrace our differences and open our world.
momondo believes that everybody should be able to travel the world, to meet other people, and experience other cultures and religions. Travel opens our minds: when we experience something different, we begin to see things differently.

They are all actors, which is why they didn't release all 67 stories. Because that would cost them a lot more money to have each actor do an "interview" instead of just sitting in the background.

@@truthseeker444 I avoid them too. I find no reason to put external drama in my life. I took a DNA test and it showed the various stories my family told about having sophisticated foreign origins is false. However for anyone who is genuinely interedted in their biological makeup it should not come as surprise what is found. Also many companies don't have good profiling. Myheritage shows Swiss as a mix of Iberian, South European, Polish and French because it did not sample Swiss people so it shows them as geographic middle of those regions. On the other hand 23&me which is Jewish owned and ran deliberately looks to classify genes as Jewish so it can 'unite diaspora with their heritage and preserve it'.
@truthseeker444

@@utvara1 23 and me made a billion dollar deal with GSK, which gives GSK access to all the DNA submitted to 23 & me, that was a good enough reason for me not to give them my DNA. Giving such a large corrupt pharmaceutical company access to such a huge DNA data bank it totally unethical in my opinion. Nothing exotic in my mix on Ancestry 74% Scottish, 26% Irish, My Heritage similar but with 1.3% Hungry and surrounding area, which fits with the family history.

I think that this type of study is fantastic. It puts all of our lives into a perspective that we previously had no idea about. National Geographic has, on KZfaq, videos of DNA studies that show "All men" (through the "Y" chromosome) share the exact DNA marker from people in Eastern Africa. We are all related, and the sooner we begin to treat one another as such the sooner the world will be a far better place.

A black man in my home state (SC) discovered that his chromosomes go back about 338,000 years that's the oldest found so far. And it WASN'T from East Africa... It was from West Africa (Cameroon)..... Interesting story.

The Kurdish people are not stateless. They are not alone. Because there is Turkia and the homeland of millions of Kurds is Turkia. Of course, there is great suffering caused by very bad politicians. But Turks and Kurds are peoples who have lived together for more than a thousand years and shared everything.

Do not be proud of something you did not choose. Be proud of what you do for Humanity. We all just evolved from the same ancestry. Edit: My mother tongue is Kurdish and I love it. I'm bilingual Kurdish-Arabic, I also speak English and German. Language is just a mean for communication. Just because someone was born somewhere specific, that doesn't give any privileges or make someone better.

A very important clarification in the ethnicity results. They do not write the Kurdish race directly, but they say West Asian and Iran, meaning the Aryan race and the Caucasian race is a very ancient , that extends to all races such as European and others and cannot be limited to the Turks and according to your genetic analysis, you are at least 60% Kurdish

Xenophon in Cyrus Anabasis or March of 10.000 writes about a war nation called Karduxoi exactly where modern Kurds are from.
@johajjar3398
@johajjar3398 2 жыл бұрын
@@NIKOS_GEROSIDERIS The issue of the origins of the current Kurdish people, I think, is very complicated. The current Kurds were formed through the migrations of the ancient Aryan civilizations that extended from Iran to Anatolia, meaning every Aryan civilization, whether Mitanni, Medea, Gutian, Hithi, or Hurians, has an ethnic impact on the Kurdish people and the current inhabitants of Anatolia and even Armenians and Azerbaijanis،
@NIKOS_GEROSIDERIS

@@johajjar3398 I think its more possible those civilizations and tribes were assimiliated to Armenians too not just Kurds due to the very common geographical characteristics.

The fact that they found her cousin in the same research! It's something that they can both tell theyr grandchildren one day.
