I also don't see a way of defending polygamy, and the Quran denying Jesus death, which is a point every other religion and even atheist agree on, makes me difficult to consider Islam a possibility of truth. There are plenty of scholars who point out that stories similar to Jesus and his purported life actually existed for hundreds of years before Jesus was alleged to have been born. Where are the historical references to show this much earlier history from which the "myth" of Jesus could well have evolved from.

There are tens of thousands of evidence based facts about the Titanic vs a fictional novel. Granted that thousands of years ago there is scant evidence or records left today to make such a similar comparison. But to be honest, I am personally just not enough of a biblical or ancient times scholar (nor willing to spend the time to become so) to really have much of an informed opinion or conviction one way or the other.
