As someone who now likes TV shows just as much as movies, I’m kinda torn on the idea of adding tv shows to letterboxd. While I think some tv shows are on the same level as film (and in some ways surpass what film can do), I agree that they should keep film and tv separate because they are two very different art forms. Serializd has been my “TV Letterboxd” for awhile now and I think it should stay as the designated TV logging app and same goes with Letterboxd.

Also if Television shows are added they should be in a separate tab, so as to not clutter up the film section.

Also, getting a notification whenever an actor/directore comes out with a new film doesn't require them to have a letterboxd themselves? There are already pages for each actor/director/etc. where their work is listed, you could just add a follow button to those pages and then set notifications.

For those who don't like the idea of TV Shows in the app and the other half who like, just make 2 tabs on your profiles in one profile you log your movies (normal), and in the other tab (you can log TV Shows, choose your favorites, etc).

Can't you un-rate a film by clicking on the "X" that appears to the left of the stars (when hovering over it)?

I really don’t get the sentiment that TV and film need to be separated. Yeah they are different but they are part of the same body of art. It really sucks having to goto IMDb for TV.

I agree with a few of these. Changing the "header" should absolutely be a thing, but I don't want to follow actors and directors on the app, and I definitely do not want to add a "currently watching" feature, as that would make the app overstep its boundaries by a lot. That would be invasive. Also, the top 4 is not something they will change due to it being iconic for the platform. I do want to be able to answer comments directly, though, however, that should only be the reviewer's prerogative to do so, hindering endless, brain-dead debates on some random review. The theatre button would be a nice addition, and the search function could be improved. But most importantly I would want a "top four" directors, actors and actresses. It should also stop there, I think, as providing this feature would foster endless discussions about the arbitrary line of what parts of the crew should be included in such a feature.

I'm not a fan of them adding TV shows. With a film, it's something I've either watched or I haven't. With a TV show it's so much more complicated. - Have I watched every season? Do I have to log it again if a new season comes out? Have I only watched one season, logged it as watched and then a bunch of new seasons come out and I didn't watch them, so now I feel like I haven't actually watched the show and have to remove it from the stuff I've watched? Or do I have to log each season by it's own? I'm too autistic for that feature, lol.
