Lovely cards and I like having additional ways to use items I already own. Thank you so much for sharing that little clip of Kaitlyn. She is so precious! Her excitement over purple indicates that her color-boyfriend may be purple. lol. At least you won’t have to share your blue.

Beautiful cards Kelly! The BetterPress paper is 100% cotton with no sizing. Watercolor paper has sizing that allows for manipulation of paint on the surface of the paper. I haven't tried watercolor paper through my press but certainly worth experimenting!

Really lovely cards. Thank you for sharing all the test you did. A tip I use is I use a repositionable tape runner on the back of my card when I betterpress, it works fantastic. The betterpress paper definitely does not work as watercolour paper. I agree with you, I use watercolor paper instead. Kelly bean is so adorable, her speech is really coming on, she's at that stage where you can have a conversation, beautiful. X

So glad you tested these techniques! I have been curious since I too have several foil press dies and wanted to be able to use them in more ways! Love that you encourage your daughter to share your passion! My grandkids come over and have upgraded from their crayons and markers to my alcohol markers and are truly enjoying them!❤

As always gorgeous cards. I think of all the tools that have been released in the past 5 or 6 years the Better Press stands above them all because you get great results from the very first try. My copic coloring looks like Kaitlyn’s lol. Loved her cameo appearance

I love spellbinders, I have spent so much money with them and haven’t been disappointed yet. I don’t have betterpress or glimmer as I am not sure I would use them, but love everything else.

She's so stinking cute! I had a big smile on my face as I watched that part of the video 😁 so happy she picked purple and red (my favorite colors). As for the cards, great as usual 👍 I don't have the better press system nor do I have plans to get it. Do you remember that store Archivers? I remember using the QuicKutz Letterpress system they had during my Friday night crop sessions. Wow, that was probably 15 or more years ago. Since I don't want to invest in the Better Press, but wouldn't mind getting a few Better Press sentiments, I picked up a small happy birthday one to see if it would work with reg ink (Ink On 3 Intense black) on my Big Shot, and it did 👏 I got the letter press look w/o all the extra equipment and cost.

Great Job JellyBean!!!! You did a great job especially on that purple flower! Kelly, Ihave told so many people that the BP paper IS NOT the same as regular watercolor paper and I have had some totally disagree with me saying they are both 100% cotton and they are the same. So thank you for agreeing!!!! I have used Versafine ink and heat embossed and then used Copic markers and that works well on Copic Paper. You do not get the impression of course but you get a perfect stamping and then you can use your copics perfectly.

Beautiful as always…and JELLY BEAN! 😍 I think another one of the reasons you were having trouble with it blending is the combination of the paper AND using inks. Distress inks are much more staining than watercolor pigments. Distress Inks work best on heavily sized paper.

Lovely cards. Plus I FINALLY realised my problems with watercolouring aren’t me, it’s the paper! I’ve been using hot pressed paper to try to emulate your style. I don’t know how I managed to miss that you prefer cold pressed! Anyhoo… I’ll try again now!

( Personally I think $59.00 for a stamp, die and stencil set is not something I can buy whenever I see one I like. My purchasing has really slowed down.) I can see a future colorist here. How old is she? Two? She really stayed in the lines when she colored the flower! Lots of tips again in your video. Thanks Kelly. I have the Better Press system and use my normal card stock and inks. I have not had any problems.

Kelly, so I'm thinking of investing in the better press system but my question is how is this any different from just stamping your image on card stock? Looking at your video it just appears to be a stamped image but with a lot more work involved. Your cards are beautiful.

Maybe you say something later in the video but is there a reason why you tape the paper to the magnetic base and then taped the sentiment plates to the top plate instead of the other way around? Just curious
