Another idea for a quickie food road trip from Upstate is to drive over I84 to Cheshire Conn and visit the throwback hot dog joint- Blackies. Conn style hot dogs fried on a grill with Blackies relish and birch beer soda. Compare to NY hot dogs and you will see Nathans doesnt even come close! Dont drive on a weekday as you will be spending all your time in traffic.
