Unfortunately, as a drummer, I haven't had the chance to play "Lessons In Love" with a band yet. The rhythm section in that song has such a drive 👍. The bass slapping is so crazy that the drum part doesn't need to be too complicated.

You must listen to the song It's Over by Level 42. It's a slow dance type of song. But the lyrics and vocals are outstanding.

Level 42 were very skilled musicians who could interchange instruments, and who had the benefit of 2 excellent key part vocalists ( Mark King on the lower parts and Mike Lindup on the higher ones ) .. This is quite good, but their best song is definitely "Something About You", IMHO .. As an added bonus, the official video features the stunningly beautiful actress, Cherie Lunghi .. Cheers, Wayne

Level 42 is a great band. This song is fantastic and one of my favorites. I wish this would have been their official video though. This isn't their original video. Someone has modified their video and added scenes such as the two girls kissing, etc.

Yeah, I noticed that about the video too .. Pretty sure the scene with The Joker on the stairs is from a recent movie that didn't exist when this song came out .. Should have used the original.

@@wayne_twentyfive Yes, this song came out in 1986, long before the movies "Joker" and "Cruel Intentions" were made. I'm not sure Level 42 would be on board with some of the added scenes.

The problem with people doing things like this is that someone who's never seen this group before will watch this video and form an opinion of the group based upon the video, misrepresented as it may be. Some of K.S.O.s reactions to some of the scenes were not happy ones. She might feel this band represents something that she does not believe in, thus painting a false image of the group for her.

Yeah, this isn’t the original video… They put current stuff in over the original video like all those cartoons and that lesbian couple. That’s all very modern stuff not in the original video

The Kane Gang! I have that album! It’s fantastic! I think the track “Closesr Thing To Heaven” was a big hit in the UK, but not in the States. I love that track!

I believe all these games Males and Females play are 100% of all these issues. When we as humans stop playing games, we can move forward and build a better world for our children. I don't know when all these games started, but we need to stop them before it's too late and we destroy humanity as a whole. Too many single parents and only the children suffer. We are so careless with our feelings and playing these love games puts us all in danger because Females fall for the money and we fall for the gold diggers due to we playing games. Think about it 🤔

I enjoyed the song, and the reaction....BUT the video is NOT the original video! Whoever put this video together added the lesbian kissing scenes, joker, animation and other stuff. I think if someone wanted to make their own video they should not have included footage from the original. I always enjoy your thoughtful reactions though.

With all due respect, this is the WRONG video to be watching and listening to this incredible song. It's not original. If you listen to the original long version you will see how soulful Mark King and Mike Lindup are...
