No splits until 20 is a bit much, 10 or so sounds a lot more fair to me personally. That being said, it's a single player game, nobody should gatekeep you from playing on any more or difficulty level you want! Make it never split if that's what you're feeling lmao

This game is honestly kinda bullshit. All the towers fire so slowly, and the ones that fire continuously are all mana dependent, which is expensive to invest in. Building a lot of towers is bad because the XP they need to deal enough damage is dependent on how much damage they do, and building very few towers is bad because if any enemies get by you're guaranteed to lose those lives. And finally, having the boss always instantly kill you might make sense on paper, but unlike something like Bloons where it's usually because you didn't have the right defenses, it's this is purely because you just can't do enough damage per second, or the enemy is too fast, or in your case at the end the targeting takes 0.2 seconds to retarget the next enemy instead of instantly moving to the next like it should with a continuous tower. Heavily investing money into your towers is also a gamble because it becomes more expensive than just buying more towers. There might be a sweet spot where you have enough defenses to deal with all the enemies, as well as deal enough damage to actually kill them. It's really hard to do and I think the dev intended it that way. Victory just out of reach, all because of some bullshit. It's so frustrating.
