No doubt in my mind this is a great head. I have been using cut on contact heads (fixed and expandable) for a LONG time. If you hit the vitals correctly, like we all should, they won't run far. The one thing I have been realizing is, cut on contact heads could potentially change the direction of your arrow that I have seen many times, also could dull blades for a cleaner cut. A deer hide holds sand and dirt. By a straight entry and by blades deploying on the inside, should allow the arrow to come out clean on the other side. I have been hunting archery ONLY for 20 years and interested in making a change due to these dynamics. Thanks for the insight Levi!

And what about Sevr mechanicals? You match a good tuned bow, arrow or bolt weight good FOC, and practice and put the time in, shoot at a relaxed animal good shot placement, the archer has done all he/she can do to know they made a quick clean ethical shot. I will stick to a SEVR.

I bought some of the 3 inch cut swhackers and shot a big doe with them last year and she took one step and fell over. Awesome broadhead

Has anyone shot through mesh on a ground blind with them. I am fixing to purchase a ground blind (first time hunting from the ground for the turkey season). I was just wanting to see other experiences before I started testing it for myself to see if there are any tips or learning curves I need to get ahead on. Love the broadheads but have always shot from trees on deer so any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

Ive been bow hunting since the 80's.so you guys can imagine the equipment ive used.todays equipment is so advanced its unreal.i started shooting swhakers 4 seasons augo because they quit making the old broadheads i use to shoot.after 20 years of using 1 type of head & started looking at a new head i was in shock.so many to choose from.i was lost.so after hours & days & weeks & months of research i decided i wanted to try the swhaker.im glad i did.i can honestly say ill never buy another broadhead as long as i live.as long as they keep making swhaker.i have never lost an animal.and they do not go far.80% of the whitetail deer i have shot with a swhaker falls within eye sight.

I've killed over 15 deer with 100gr, 2" cut and it is devastating! Most deer go 20-30yds and keel over, makes tracking easy.

I chose the slick trick raptor trick for one easy difference. All steel construction.
@veteranironoutdoors83204 жыл бұрын
Tamas Komodi they have an all stainless steel schwacker
@shugman30903 жыл бұрын
You can’t change the blades on the raptors so they are still a single shot mechanical. Why pay extra for the steel?
@isaiahpeterson70322 жыл бұрын
Doesn't that mean you're not going to have a very big entrance wound
@yourmomma2995 Жыл бұрын
its still atleast an inch entry, i would much rather use my energy to make a low exit hole that blood will pour out of, rather than waste the energy on a big high entry hole thats not going to spill any blood anyway.

The Rocky Mountain warhead and Slick Trick mechanicals are copy heads of swhacker. A little different but copy’s.

Deleted last years post on how much sense the design made. I'm 76 years old and only shooting 50 pounds with a PSE bow. Deer I shot with a Swhacker this year did not get a pass through and zero blood trail. The design leaves such a small entry hole that if there's no exit hole you dont get a blood trail to follow. Did recover the deer.
@yourmomma2995 Жыл бұрын
they have a bit over 1" entry hole. that is the same as a lot of fixed heads. the high side entry hole doesn't bleed out anyway, it's the low side exit hole that bleeds out on to the ground, if you have a kill shot thru the lungs, blood WILL be coming out of the deers mouth. sounds like you had bad shot placement and would be better off with the low poundage heads. i have never not had a pass-thru with the 1 3/4" swhackers, and i have seen every deer and turkey i have killed with them fall with-in my eyesight, no blood trails needed.

So far i've killed 4 deer and 3 hogs with a shwacker broad head. I am very satisfied with what i have seen so far.

I don't know why you guys keep saying that the swhacker Broadhead is Field Point accurate when it is not I have shot them they are not Field Point accurate
@devinduncan28304 жыл бұрын
You must be one of the few and far between because I’ve been shooting them for years and they have always been dead on with my field points.
@johnathanlanders12004 жыл бұрын
You evidently don't understand how to tune your bow take it too a bow tech and tune it properly ive shot schwacker for about 8 years now and haven't had a problem with them at all and most of my shots are 35 to 40 yards so there is a lot of room for error in those yards haven't let me down at all. Good luck this year.
@clydedowell44814 жыл бұрын
I use them with my crossbow always dead on

I wish I could love swhacker but I had one bounce off a doe at 10 yards. It got the broadheads length of penatration
