It’s so awesome to finally be back racing Downhill and what a crazy first day of practice on this insane new trail in Whistler Bike Park on the new 1199 Steve Smith Trail.

to give some perspective of how much the go-pro effect comes in here; that last pitch out of the sharkfin is so steep it is difficult to walk up. it drops away for much that when you're coming into the sharkfin it is a completely blind takeoff that looks like it airs into the valley below. and that isnt even close to the steepest section of this track haha

Fantastic run even with the track having other riders on it, you made those jumps and drop offs look so easy ,😁.That huge drop off that rock into the left hander the compression on that looked huge 😁 but you smahed it. l'm sure the other riders watching you do those narly drops all thought WoW 😁😁.

Guid effort man. That is gnarly as. A proper tribute to Chainsaw. RE: arm pump I’ve been on revgrips on renthal 800mm carbon bars and mate, not a bit of arm pump. Like about 15 runs on a normal, not that brutal type of course though, DH and not a bit of it. Just a suggestion. Jack Moir said he didn’t get the feeling off the grips but I just got used to them pretty quickly.

This I felt was tougher than val di sole and fort William etc. Had all the rough bits between the biggest features and it was long. Good to see. It’s how World Cup tracks should be.

It went together easily in less than an hour. kzfaq.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
