Today I replace my stock OEM brake pads for some new better performance Winmax W2 brake pads. Lets get it on! Not figuratively, just literally...the brake pads.

Nice video, Thanks for sharing! I had the same setup in my ISF. With the exception that RR Racing accidentally sent me W3 rears. For the price of W2’s. My wife complained about the bus noise they produced. They sure pull you forward when you begin stopping. It got to the point, that it almost felt fun to stop as it did accelerating. Only 1 cold night at the drag strip, they got completely silent.

You can also, loosen the brake fluid cap (in engine bay) to make compressing the pots easier.

Baller! "Just bought brake pads even though I don't need them" 😂 IMO I've seen video of both Figs and RR LCA Bush and seems like figs still has movement under hard steer and braking and have heard of the grease drying up fairly quickly. RR's have little to no movement and less wear on lube.

Figs just seemed a little more streetable. But I havent decided either way yet.

Any upgraded control arm bushings? Save those front tires if you don’t have them ussr or figs!

How is the brake dust?
@doitforfamily6802
@doitforfamily6802 4 жыл бұрын
Brake dust is still there but not as much as Brembo which I believe is stock too but all depends the way you drive and what u want the brakes to do . So I’ve also tryed the winmax W3 and I didn’t like it because they mad noise with factory rotors . W2s are good enough

Do the W2 pads squeek period? Did you notice shorter stopping distance?

Hey brother, quick question..did you re-use or not use the shims on the back of the break pads. I noticed you didn't have it on the winmax. Do you have to use the shims on them? I'm about to do mine.
@WeaponsFree86
@WeaponsFree86 4 жыл бұрын
You don't have to. Some say they queak a little more without the shims. I didnt notice a difference. If you plan on tracking the car I would use them. Theyre an extra heat barrier between the pad and caliper.

@@WeaponsFree86 I’m not familiar with your platform. You said very similar. Does that mean a lot of dust or little or average of a typical car?
