I cleaned my 2008 ES350 Throttle Body while the battery was disconnected. According to a Toyota tech. Toyotas/Lexus do not require a relearn. You just keep the battery disconnected and the TB will adjust on its own when you turn on the vehicle again. So when I turned on my car. It was burning rich. And the rpm was a bit higher than normal on idle. This is because the TB had plenty of carbon on it. And my car thought the pre-cleaned TB values was appropriate, where the valve was open slightly more than the default. After about 15 minutes of idle. The butterfly valve slowly adjusted itself. My exhaust no longer had a clear indication it was burning rich and my RPMs dropped to nomal. The TB relearned on its own. My ride has been normal ever since! _TL;DR:_ Clean your throttle body without worry, but disconnect your battery before hand, and wait for the car to adjust when you turn it back on.

I can officially say, this works on a 2001 Lexus is300. I just replaced the throttle body motor I had a check engine light for and it was idling kinda high 1500 rpms. With this video it now has gone back down thank you so much.

Almost correct. Do this for five minutes. Then turn on air conditioning, lights, high beam to cheat load for five minutes. Then take out of gear but leave electric load on.p for five minutes. Then you are done. DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE AT ANY TIME WHEN DOING THIS RELEARN
