Man excellant work Truck 19 sometimes i dont think our truck company works like a real truck they wanna fight fire but if they dont like it go to the squad and fight. I hardly ever see em throw up ladders except the last fire we was at. Thanks your hard work stay safe

What you do is you keep it on your high shoulder the whole time. Once you want to stand the ladder on its feet you simply drop the feet down and use your shoulder and arms to stand it upright. The idea is to do everything in one safe motion. The less steps you need to retrace the better. Makes quicker ladder placement. The taller you are the easier it is of course. Also takes a little bit of strength, but isn't all that difficult at the same time.

We use hockey tape which provides a nice grip and it comes in multiple colors. Can't say what 19 uses.

I think there were more ladders put up on this already extinguished fire than I have put up at real fires in my 29 year career.

Thats the idea! be aggressive and keep throwing ladders until you run out of windows or you run out of ladders. Thank you and take care.

when you use the high shoulder on those 28's, when you acutally make them vertical are you using your shoulder or are you just dropping you shoulder and raising it with no effort? please explain

ok so it looks like you have the protech fusions. if so do your jackets have the thumb whole so that the inner layer of the jacket goes into the glove? i was wondering if i should get the long or short cuffed gloves. Great vid too lol

Do you use the open speaker backing to your camera and if so is it good to use in a fire and not have water get into it?
@OneNineTruck10 жыл бұрын
we do not. We use the full cap. It seems to sound less muffled this way also avoiding the chance of water getting in.

OneNineTruck- I love to get some pictures of your tape job on your hooks, i like the yellow/black look. What do you use? Great Ladder work! Love the high shoulder carry.

We average 2 fires a month, I'd say. It varies... But, overall we do close to 700 calls a year.
