Repairs Universe why did you take out everything.. if you just flipped it over and heated up the glue... couldn’t you just do that... skip the tear down?

If your screen is really damaged it can take some time removing it because it might not come as one part. You need to remove as much as you can along with the Touch Screen, then you have to remove the small bits of plastic using a cutter or a knife

Worked perfectly, saved a ton thank you! change play back to .25x on reassemble, it helps putting it back and also feels like a final boss scene where the hero is near death. 7 out of 5 would recommend

The a few driver sit they sent me is my undoing the screws is there anything else I can do to get out the screws

Can you use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun, and if so should you run it at high or low?

An hair dryer works fine, no need of a heat gun if you do not have one; run it high

Is there a specific way I need to re-apply the adhesive? I do need the phone to still be water-proof ater the fix.

Glass only replacement requires specialized machinery and is outside the scope of our videos.

does have to disassembly all the back parts to do it? how about if just apply heat on front glass, take it off and apply the new screen? sorry if sound ignorant but I don't know much about it.

It's a good idea to remove it all to prevent damage while heating the display.

Well if you guys watch the video there's a connector at the bottom of the screen that goes through to the back and it seems like it'd be pretty hard to get that out without having access to the back. I could be wrong though

If you do apply the adhesive right on the back pannel, and if your screen replacement come with adhesive, IF everything is glued correctly, it'll be sealed, and water resistant.

I'm guessing no, it won't factory installed you might end up leaving tiny gaps that you are not aware of and water could seep in

It will not, at least as a third party one cannot guarantee ip68 rating.

Phones are made by people if you put it on correctly and a lot you can make it even more "water resistant". Its not like in phone factorys they have some super pressision machine. You might end up making it better than the chinese if you do it right.
