I was SO EXCITED about this refrigerator, and when I received it, it didn't have the door-in-door feature! I contacted LG only to find out that they don't make the door-in-door feature in black stainless! WHYYYY would they only offer it in stainless and advertise but make an IDENTICAL LOOKING model WITHOUT the door-in-door in black stainless??? I felt like a kid at Christmas waiting for this to arrive, and I was sooooo looking forward to that feature to be able to frequently access my medicine without having to lose coolness in the refrigerator every time I opened it.

What I look for in a fridge is one that lasts more than 2 years our LG refrigerator quit working under warranty and LG did not do a thing about it for 2 months we were without a refrigerator with nothing but promises to call back that we're never fulfilled. I don't know what's worse they're in line compressors that fail or their customer service that over promises and under-delivers...

I purchased this refridgerator and the button is hidden so well there probably is not one. PLease show me exactly where the button is supposed to be on Model LRSVS2706S

Let me know what will happen to ice cubes, if there is a power cut for 5-6hrs? I mean to ask if the ice gets melted and after it turns into liquid state: Will the water stay in the same(ice cube) chamber or else it dispenses thru the dispenser outlet which is outside of the refrigerator?

The user manual for their fridges (at least here in Brazil) says it's better to remove the ice container in longer power cuts, because they can melt and the water may fall to the floor. In short power cuts, I think they don't recommend doing anything.

Unless you're living in South Africa or some other African country, you needn't worry about a five hour power cut.

My craft ice maker started making knocking noises after 2nd year of ownership. Had to get replaced out of warranty $350.00. The sad thing is this has happened to thousands of people from what i read online

Bought this exact refrigerator this week, model LRSVS2706S (with InstaView and Door-in-Door). It did NOT come with the Utility Box nor did it come with the Wine Rack. Both are advertised in this video at 2:30 and 2:45 respectively. When I contacted LG, I was told these accessories are not included with model LRSVS2706S. Begs the question of why LG's own video which was uploaded only 4 months ago advertises them as included but in actuality they are not included. VERY DECEPTIVE AND INACCURATE ADVERTISING, LG!!!

That's because the model from this video is the overseas Asian one. Note: this is the LG Global Channel.

@@Motown-1966 I appreciate your correct observation. I asked LG's Customer Service numerous times for the specific part number for the "Utility Box" and I even suggested this was a UK model # GSXV90BSAE however all I received from LG was a stock copy/paste email where they asked me to contact specific parts resellers. I contacted three of them and everyone told me they despise doing business with LG because their Customer Service sucks and that they cannot help me unless I provide the exact part number of the accessory. A perfect vicious circle of finger pointing.. That's their OWN resellers telling me this - unbelievable but definitely true. You'd think that LG monitors and responds to their own Global Channel but apparently not. If anyone knows where I can order the "cheese drawer" or "utility box" as it is shown, I'll buy one.

I love when people complain when their refrigerator breaks and say “ but I got the top-of-the-line fridge.” Yeah lady, it make look nice and fancy and has all these stupid cool features but people don’t even think about reliability. People pay all this insane amount of money just for the looks and options but they don’t realize they can get a cheaper fridge that has simpler features for less amount of money. You people make me sick.

I just bought gf-q4919mt - the new generation of instaview door in door refrigerator. Before talking about fresh or cold, LG please make sure your fridge can reach its target temperature of 3 degrees Celsius. My nightmare begins when the fridge arrived at home, first week…. Temp hovers between 5-8 degrees Celsius…. That’s a no no in terms of food safety and to last for 1 week… wonder if that’s the way to breed bacteria to keep hygiene fresh started. Next, the model is supposed to have hygiene fresh+…. Yet LG technician who visited for the fridge temp problem and the faulty freeze light…. (Yes faulty in less than 3 days of arrival) told me that this model has no such function….. wow…. Imagine how surprised I was. He even showed the user manual to proof his point. No attempt to resolve the fridge issue, LG technicians left without answers. I have to make a second call….and was told by LG technicians that a one to one exchange will be made but the new fridge will not have hygiene fresh function…. I reAlly felt scammed. It took a leap of faith to move from Japanese fridge to Korean ones….. frankly, this episode reAlly makes me rethink…. By the way, LG needs maintenance… how many will remove items from fridge to clean every 6 months? Or for that matter, move that heavy fridge from its position to clean its back to remove dust so that the compressor can work well…. Seriously, I wonder the logic behind it and the lack of understanding of consumers behavior.
