+Joe Deasy my opinion is the 700 and 730 are still the best. I've had many complaints that the successive models don't have as high of a volume range. The newer ones with retractable ear buds seem to be a pain to repair. Also, you can pick up a cheap knock off of the 700 for about $18 and use it for parts if you need to. Just my preference to use the 700 as my every day carry.

Can you show us how to repair a defective wires on it?

I haven't had the opportunity. I've been hearing that's an issue with the newer bluetooth versions.

I don't believe the mic sensitivity can be adjusted. Sometimes I think the background noise reduction works a little too well and can block your voice as well. You could try making sure the rubber hole for the mic is clear of debris as this will also affect the mic quality.

I haven't had any opportunity to dissect the hbs900 because I haven't obtained one yet. That being said... My guess would be the battery is bad. That's where I would start if it's refusing to charge. LiPo batteries go bad for a number of reasons. The most common cause is when they are drained below a certain voltage they more or less die and usually can't be recharged. Most eyepieces will turn off to protect the battery but it's not foolproof. I do not know what battery the 900 uses but I'll guess that it's a 3.7 volt LiPo battery with between 195 - 260 mAh. Hope that helps. I have other videos for some of the earlier models that may be of some use.

+mohamed osama the only way to check the battery charge is to use a multi meter on the battery's +/- wires to see what the voltage is. A standard single cell LiPo battery (such as is used in the LG Tone series) should have a fully charged voltage of about 4.2 volts and a completely discharged voltage of no less than 3 volts. The battery is considered a 3.7 volt battery because that is the nominal voltage. If the battery is below 3 volts, you should consider it a bad battery. Unfortunately that's just a common problem. It seems to be hit or miss if you get a set with a good microphone. You could try replacing the mic if you like.

To be honest, I've never replaced the mic. I show how it could be done but it's not a procedure I've gotten around to yet. Your best bet is to buy a cheap set of earbuds with a mic in the wire and use that mic. You could probably buy one on ebay as well. Hope this helps.

The only way I know of to get the original earbuds is to purchase broken HBS 750's from Ebay and remove the earbuds. I don't know if there's anywhere to buy them new. However, you can easily use almost any earbuds as I show in my first video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i852eNiDqZbacXU.html

I haven't taken the 800 apart yet but the other two HBS videos on my channel may help.

I have not yet acquired an hbs800 to tear apart and inspect the inner workings of. There's a youtuber (soft paws) that commented here about making 3D provide replacement parts. Might try contacting them.

+ashish pokhrel you could check your battery voltage is between 3 volts and 4.2 volts with a multi meter. If it's below 3, your battery should be replaced (see my other hbs videos). Also look for loose or broken wires inside, signs of corrosion or damage to the pcb. That's what I would do.

Check your wires for breaks or Change your battery. LiPo batteries can go bad very easily if they are drained too low or if they are not charged properly.

I'm not too familiar with the 760 but the battery is most likely a 3.7 volt 195mAh battery. That's what they've used in past models.

Hi Joey, I can't comment on that specific model but the symptoms sound battery related. 99% of small consumer electronics run on one form or another of 3.7v lithium polymer batteries. They can go bad for various reasons and stop holding a charge or fail to supply adequate current.

A lot of people have asked me to but unfortunately I just don't have the time. Sorry. I made a few diy videos for these earpieces. If you watch them all, you should have a good understanding of how to fix the simpler problems.

My problems are a little bit different. The buttons stopped working. I don't believe it all of them because I think that one of the buttons is being pressed down continuously and as a result, it makes the others not working. Trying to fix it by wobbling it lol. Thanks though.

Jade's Love have you tried it Witt another device? I know the LG tone series doesn't always play well with Apple products. You could also try forgetting/re-pairing it to your device.
