I like the headset. Unfortunately had a similar issue with the right wire shorting out. It was a gift given to me for Fathers Day 2018 so I didn't have the receipt. I submitted a repair request with LG, packaged it up, including a copy of the Target credit card statement showing purchase date and price(without original receipt). Sent this to LG, their log shows they opened the package and 2 minutes later sent it right back to me without doing anything. I contacted them and they said you had to have a receipt. Tried to explain it was a gift, and that I at least sent in a copy of the Target statement showing it was purchased, but they still refused to fix it under warranty without a copy of the original receipt. Disappointed in LQ's Warranty service.

Ha, great. I bought mine brand new on ebay, but I figured I'd test LGs warranty and see how good they were... Guess I'll be footing a bill for shipping back to me at the very least. Shame, I wanted to be talked into buying more LG products.

Same problem. On my second pair. The last pair worked for a month or two and now this one only worked a few weeks. I don't know what is causing the problem, but I've had it! These are great, but I need to make calls. Is there a software reset procedure - he says above that it could be a software issue.

what is that thing you used to pry it open?? I can't open mine annd I don't have anything like that to shove in the little gaps to open it.. :(

Accidentally cut the left wire. Right side still works fine. Stripped the bud and main wire to reveal a green wire and copper colored wire. Next im supposed to remove the outer coating on said wires for true connection. Now I'm scared of making it worse. Extremely brief burn or rubbing are recommeded... gonna burn. Looking for electrical tape before proceeding. Won't be able tk fully retract, but as long as i can hear my tunes again, i don't mind.

The microphone comes off to the listener as muffled or spotty or faint. What is going on?

I was playing with my dogs toy and when I threw it the cord stretch too much and now it won’t go back in like the other one

hi Preston, DID YOU TRY TO TURN ON THE SPEAKER ON AND OFF QUICKLY WHILE YOU ARE IN CALL? MINE WORKS . THIS MAY BE A TEMPORARY SOLUTION IF IT WORKS FOR YOU

APPLESVALLEY 8 yes exactly like yours. waiting on 3rd one to come in. I bought refurbished for a savings and I really like them I hope they fix it this time.

IF THE 3RD ONE NOT WORKING , TRY TO UPGRADE TO THE NEXT VERSION OR DOWNGRADE TO HBS-810 THEY ARE LIGHTER, PRACTICAL AND MORE FLEXIBLE.

I have an issue with one of my retratctable ear buds on my LG 910. When I pull it out it won't stay, it keeps retracting back in. Is there a way to fix it? Maybe you ca do a video on that or if you have any suggestions. Thanks

Mine is doing the same if I click the speaker and back off they work. Has anyone find a way to fix this so I don't have to do that because we should not have to do this.

The earbud cable is cutted inside , it needx t o be resoldered back .

Yes, maybe the cable is cut in the root

the two metal halves are threaded (screwed) together, but there is red glue on the threads making it really hard to turn.

I just found this video-I've been dealing with this issue for months of unhappy phone calls with my customers. I did contact LG but they suggested "reset process" which didn't help and seeing all the comments it's clear that the product is not viable. My earlier purchases were great. LG TONE HBS1100 was supposed to be an upgrade, I only buy a new headset every couple years. Very disappointed with this product. I'm not buying an LG unit next time.

@Cool Swift you dont have to pull in these things excessively for them to stop working. It's just like regular earbuds they arent very durable to begin with. I got a pair of 780 that just stopped working in the left earpiece and they werent even 6 months old. People have complained about them lasting less than that. Excessive pulling my ass they just have serious design and durability flaws.
