Good review son!! I prefer this phone 📱 over the Pixel. You lose features but not as many going from the Note 7. Pixel just seems like a Android version of the iPhone and nothing else. Feature heavy phones are the BEST.

Wide angle, removable battery, good audio and big display (plus secondary display) has made me want this phone over phones like the Xiaomi mi 6, lg g6, and Google pixel😆. I don't really care about having the latest specs because when you get a flagship, you know it's gonna be good and fast!! $800, wow, it's amazing how quickly these phones lose their value. You can pick up good condition LG V20's on ebay now for 65-120 bucks. The Sprint variant by far being the cheapest, bought mine a few days ago for $70, just came in the mail and it's in like-new condition. Love it so far.

I'm just trollin now, but I do kinda feel like wireless charging is overated. In the real world us average users are usually sitting on the sofa or in bed while the phone is charging, which you can't do while wireless charging but that's just me.

It was this most excellent review that had me purchase a V20 two years ago. The audio really kicks ass but after my rough treatment the display cracked. So I ordered another off Ebay for $158. A new display can be had for $38 and I'll repair it to have a back-up. No glue, this cell screws together with 23 tiny fasteners. Note Flossy, I up-graded to Oreo 14 months ago, now finally, LG has approved Pie9 for the V20 and it should be available by the 30th of September. You do good work, my thanks to you and White Shoes.

lg does put headphones in the international boxes but I think the carriers take the headphones out. which doesnt make sense since they keep Samsung and apple headphones in the box and lg headphones tend to be better than both Samsung and apples ear buds/pods. lol

I had a V10 back in the day and it got the boot loop disease. So I got a little sour on LG (It happened to my other LGs as well. ) But when I saw this for only $170 on eBay for one in excellent condition and a 30 warranty- I couldn't resist ordering it. It will replace my BlackBerry PRIV as my back up phone and will replace my Note 4 as my travel companion. (I need a replaceable battery when I travel internationally. ) I bought 2 new OEM batteries for under $20. So for under $200 I will have a beast travel phone. If this works well, I may look at that V30 as a daily driver down the road cuz that OLED and no notch look on the 30 looks ridiculous. Great review as always Mr. Carter.

Well you changed my mind about upgrading to the V20 from my V10, but I can't commit to the pixel. I use a LOT of storage on my v10 (128gb expandable 64gb stock & 64gb micro sd) and I can't understand why companies (other than apple) make phones that can't expand their storage anymore. Makes no sense to me with the rate of applications that need updates and the music & movies people listen to. I'm going to hold out for the May release of pixel 2 and see if they fixed that. Otherwise I might just hang on to my v10 for a while.

You didn't mention the back speaker being almost silent when setting the phone, back side down on a table so the front side can be accessed to view it. I like to listen to music while I do artwork on the phone or watch videos without holding my phone. Even customizing my phone, adding icons and wallpapers, I set my phone down to do it. The Samsung Note 4 put it's speaker on the back while my Notes 3 & 5 have them in front so they can be easily heard. As far as I'm concerned the Samsung Note 3 is the better of the 3 Note phones. Each time a new phone comes out they seem to be taking away what we used most and adding bloat to boost sales on the new apps without adding more bloat and to bring in new consumers. As soon as an app becomes a system app, sales go thru the roof while the removed app rarely gets downloaded. I can only surmise that someone is paying for that privilege. I still use all 3 phones. Only the 5 is activated and the other phones are Wi-Fi and not used for calls.

I just got me a brand new V20 after doing days of research on the best $300 phone & watched a ton of your vids to educate myself! The version I got came with B&O ear buds, although I have to try them again as they sounded horrible & the worst cord noise & clicking I've ever tried!! I've also got a pair of Samsung ear buds, wooden Marley braided cord buds, midrange gym quality wireless & low range wireless buds from Amazon, and the best sounding ones are the -$20 Marley wired buds & I use them all the time! I hope these supposedly high-end BO earphones are good & not defective... I also have had an ASUS ZENFONE 3 & have found the much-raved single camera not as good as this one, but if you're more of a computer/laptop geek, the ASUS looks & feels a lot more like that device. It was way thinner & lighter too.

As a former note 7 owner, the one issue I have with the phone is the battery. It dies too quickly. Much quicker than the note 5 that had a smaller battery I was at the gym yesterday, only used the timer. went from 80% to 30% in 82 mins of use. I'm wondering if the gear fit 2 responsible for that. I do not allow it to auto sync.

Floss! Why do you hate the rear finger scanner so much? It's the most natural placement when you hold a phone. You don't naturally put your thumb below the screen when you hold it!
