No they are dumb They forget to tell retailers to dress phones whit screen protectors and rubedized waterprof cases for new phones whit 50 euro price increase. Now i haw to live whit one broken phone. For this mistake they need to fix it for free. LG is garbage. Samsung and Nokia phones is dying like flies very much wasted money.

FR ND a lot of people were disappointed but I personally don't mind because I hardly used the second screen on my V20. In my opinion the V30 does make up with so many other amazing features.

the note was my other choice if I had not gotten the LGV30 and in my opinion they are two exellent phones, you can't go wrong with one or the other and yes I agree that LG does lack in updating fast eneogh in software and that's one thing that Samsung does well. I do hope you make a wise choice in picking either one but I am sure you wont be disappointed in one or the other, Good luck with your choice!

See if you can find a V30S or V30+. The specs are slightly better with both. I destroyed my V30 and replaced it with a V30+. Well over a year later and I have no regrets... except for destroying the first one :)

People bring iphones with motherboard related issues like speaker IC, touch IC, backlight IC, camera IC, U2 (battery drains) , charging port, stuck on Apple logo loop, stuck on Recovery mode, and more.... Android users visit us for JUST cracked screen

My dream phone till now. The main selling point is the design, I really fell in love with it. It's not exaggerated (don't like notch, punch hole, or even full bezel less display), has beast headphone audio quality, still a decent camera up until now, solid and premium build quality. Software? Has never been an issue for me as it can be fixed with mods/custom ROM.

I had the LG G4 until the boot loop issue 😕 I called and asked if it can be fixed they wanted $220 for a new board. I had the G2 and the G3 since they didn’t bother really trying to help me I left them for Samsung and never looked back 😐

The reason why I love LG phones: it still has an FM-Radio... that Samsung S8/Note8 don't have nowadays. (Except the Samsung J1 types)

Ardee Blancas The S8, S8 Plus and Note 8 do infact have FM antennas, thanks to the Snapdragon 835 chip. Which is the same reason the V30 has the antenna. Just FYI.

HTC is the only company that forces carriers to let them use the FM radio. If you're not allowed to use the FM radio it's because you're carrier won't let you because you won't be using data.

I still use the same V30 that I picked up on launch day. Today, after nearly 5 years, The battery no longer lasts a full day. The USB-C port won't hold a cable in place, and now, it seems that the fingerprint sensor isn't working. If I could replace the worn out parts with fresh new components, I'd still be happy to use this phone for another several years. Aside from natural wear and tear of age, the V30 is otherwise built to last. With the modular, easy to repair connections, I think it could last 10 years and still work quite well.

Wouldn't work on this phone. The only area that can be cleared is a small square over the wireless charging coil, all you'll see is the coil and it's not exactly interesting.

good video, but small corrections : 1. 10-bit monitor is not widely sold in mass number yet. it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, people just don't know about it. most 10 bit monitors are only used by professional videographers who have 10 bit sensor (real pro video/digital cine camera owner, not dslr owner, since there are only small amount of dslr that can capture 10 bit video) 2. F-number (aperture) is not the amount of light hitting the sensor, yoj are confusing T-number with F-number. F-number is the amount of light hitting the LENS, not the sensor. small amount of light will still be reflected by the lens. 3. you should base the opinion on ISO performance, not how fast the lens is. either way, never expect miraculous result from a phone. the software optimisation will always be the thing that separates good camera phones with the bad ones. if hardware is the only thing that matters, nokia 808 will still be on top.

I really hope that this model has no serious issues. I have had both the v10 and v20 (both of which I like very much), and both have had a serious problem. With the v10, the processor would somehow fry the phone (took LG AWHILE to figure that it was an error on their behalf) and with the v20, my speaker went out 2 weeks upon ownership (LG recognized this rather early on so cool). Hopefully the v30 can just function without having to be replaced or sent in....

These are select cases and a minority I'm sure if you Google Samsung faults you will find similar issues. My Lg v20 ad g3 are working perfectly fine

Deja vu Linx there were enough released with these problems that force LG to take action, that's for sure. As for samsung, their customer service and cell reception sucks...the s8 is a pretty good phone but the gorilla glass 5 on it doesn't seem that much sturdier...8 days of ownership for mines, a chunk of screen came out, and it had a samsung official case. Maybe i should file a claim...
