I was like that with my mx t50...but then I set up real good eq set on my Samsung cellphone and change to on the dolby atmos option. Some cellphones has more punch on bluetooth too.

do u know u can choose from 16 million colours for the mood light etc when using the app?? i dont think uv taken the time to fully explore its features and fancy not knowing the full name of the product ur reviewing lol, the sound quality is incredible for the price point even at low volumes i feel the bass is really good and pretty punchy even in standard sound setting

16 million colours isn’t anything impressive. That’s just standard RGB. It’s the way it makes use of the lights. I still think it just looks cheap and wasted opportunity

You should try the abramtek E500; it's something serious. The bass is out of this world. When it gets into a certain shot, it sounds like you're at a concert.

It would be okay if the whole speaker wasn’t designed around a lantern type shape. Just feels like a disappointment.

This isn't a good review, the speaker is absolutely brilliant for the money, lots of bass and good mid to high range. The lighting you can change to suit yourself including using your phone as part of the lighting display, but you buy a speaker for sound quality, not a lighting display. The app gives you a full range of presets that give a wide range of sounds. I've just picked one up for less than £200. Well worth every penny

They are all around £100 more expensive and the reviews on JBL are always more bass with poor mid and higher ranges meaning muddy sound. Sorry to disagree

Watching this review was a waste a time. You spent more time talking about the lights than the audio quality. By the way...I played around with this at our local Microcenter computer store and the LG mobile app has many more lighting options than the ones that you demonstrated. You said that people would probably not buy this to take to a party but you do not say why. The sound quality? The weight? The size? And finally, do you really expect us to get any sense for how this thing sounds by recording a minute of audio on your camera and playing it back to us on KZfaq? I am starting to think that the person that designed the power plug was you.

I love how you then decided to waste even more of your precious time writing an unnecessarily rude comment. At the end of the day it’s opinion. I wouldn’t take it to a party cause it’s underwhelming. The sound is not on par with jbl party box alternatives and neither is the light show or bass. Please direct your comments in another direction 👍🏽

@@samuelfathead Seriously, I was not trying to be rude. I have been considering buying one of these for outdoor parties now that the price has dropped to $149 US. I was hoping that there would be some reviews that would help me make a buying decision. This review did not provide any useful information. Most importantly, details about the audio quality and what controls it had for adjusting the audio. The reviewer just mentions that it sounds better when turned up...but does not give us any sense for how loud that actually is. Also...the power cord that comes with it is now has a 90˚ angle that plugs into the base. I have seen pictures of the new cord in other reviews. The lighting controls are actually pretty impressive when you control it with their iPhone app. This type of information should be added to comments so viewers know that issues that he spent so much time talking about have been resolved.

The lights are completely customizable via an app. Maybe you should actually learn ablout the item you're reviewing before you review it?

@CHARLES 13X Wrong! JBL kicks Trabits ass any day! Yes JBL speakers ain't cheap but you get exactly what you pay for. Quality, looks and performance. JBL makes far better speakers than Trabit ever will.

I had a chance to listen to it at home. Pretty lame for the money. Very closed and unbalanced sound. Flashing lights just do their own thing not following the music.
