hi man, I bought this monitor almost 3yr ago and I agree with everything you say. Overall is a pretty good display. However, comparing it with other monitors always makes me feel like this Lg has low-quality colors. In games this is remarkable. I calibrated most of the advanced color settings to fix this and seems fair batter. Which image settings do you use? Do you have an ICC profile to share? Ty. 💪🏻

Hey Simone, right! I have never calibrated my monitor XD couldnt hold myself accountable for the SpyderX.. ! and i dont have a specific profile, all is straight from the box, with a little tweaks on warm/sharpness/bnrightness to my room:s surrounding.

For gaming simply set fps to "FASTER" and you will have great low lag response. As for picture adjust, only do the following settings and do not alter anything else: Reduce black stabiliser to 35-40, set brightness to 75 in day light gaming, and 70 in night time gaming and you will experience awesome colours and live picture in games.

Great review! I'll be getting this monitor soon to replace my older 3 display setup. The screensavers in your video look great! Do you mind sharing which product you use for that? I've tried Plane9 which does look nice, but they do not have any that looks like the ones in your video. :-)

Hey there, appreciate it ! This would be one of the bang for buck ultrawide displays (2560 x 1080p) Ultrawide FHD+. You do get a high PPI from the 2560 horizontal pixel count compared to FHD (@1920). All good mate, if you wan higher Pixel density look at 4K monitors, but the price is steeeeeep !! Thanks for stopping by !!

Dear bro.. assuming you've used both 29" 21:9 and 27" 16:9 screens. Does the 29" widescreen gives off a larger FEEL to it than the standard 27" while tasking and consuming media, although it's got less vertical working space and the difference in surface areas are negligible? Can you please share your experience?

Hey again! The 21:9 feel is pretty interesting. More space on the left and right for office work is amazing. But watch out for media consumption or gaming because depending on the video output format, you’ll have the black borders, but overtime you’ll get used to it . Ultrawide is the future heh

Well done my Bro.. would you choose 27" 1080p screen or a 29" with 96ppi for text based work if the specs are similar and prices are only about 15--20% more if you're on a budget? Which one would provide less text pixelation?

Hey Xavier, 96ppi. So far the scaling options I kept it at 100%. In the display resolution I found a 3840x2160 which looked horrible. But wonder why it was there haha. For the workflow, I’m using PowerToys (Microsoft Open source app). Planning to make another video on productivity workflow soon!

Hi , im looking for some suggestions. I'm in need of ultrawide, 29inch will be a sweep spot for me. Concerns are - they are mostly available in 2560x1080 resolution giving out 96ppi. 1. Will that be easy on eyes ? 2. at arm's distance is text pixelated ?. Are you able to read text (for 6-8 hours a day) at that distance comfortably ? Also, i'll be using it in grayscale mode and in split screen. so what options do you suggest ? Should i go for VA (as major use wll be in monochromatic mode) or IPS. Budget is a concern. Also, typing this from 15 inch 109ppi laptop screen. so u have an idea of the kind of upgrade experience i can have.

Tbh, I think after I upgraded from a 1440p monitor to a 4K monitor. The PPI shift was insane and text appears way clearer. (164ppi innocent 4K 27inch) of course you are loooking at an ultrawide, so depending on your needs. VA panels have better contrast but IPS panel should be enough imo. Still highly recommending to consider a 4K monitor for the “ comfortable text viewing”

Hey Akira, yes. I still think for productivity, everyday use, this 29 inch Ultrawide monitor is the best bang for your buck. 21:9 aspect ratio is very very intersting :D

Yo Brooooo!! WN is the newer model for the 29' inch Ultrawide monitor. Dua2 tu lebih kurang sama je. Mana2 tu bole je XD Source: www.displaydb.com/compare/lg-29wn600/lg-29wk600 Beza yang I perasan. WK lebih terang tapi WN bezel (screen-to-body ratio) slimmer = more bezeless !

Hey there so sorry for the late reply, so far the colors in my opinion is just “good enough” for a budget monitor. Especially for video work you get longer timelines to scroll thru, which is good ! I don’t particularly do too much colouring so maybe I can’t comment on it 🥹

Hey there, when I bought it in Malaysia it's called OL-3L Monitor Clamp. But there's a bunch of altneratives like this. A typical 34-inch ultrawide monitor has a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440. A typical 24inch is about 1920 x 1080.. so you can essentialy fit 2 (24inch) screen on the 34 inch Ultra wide or abour x2 80% screen real estate. More than enough for 2, 3 is possible too !

Hey Hasan, There is an option in display properties on windows for 3840 x 2160. But once selected, mine is just a blank screen. There's another 2560 x 1440 but looks weird and scratched. Don't think this is a 4K monitor by any means. Best is still at 2560 x 1080 (UltraWide 21:9)

Is it good for long sitting ? Is it good for eyes? ( i had to use a medical glass for using a very bad TN panel, but it was good for gaming but it sucks too much for eyes ) Is it comfy for long session for like: Programming, KZfaq, Netflix, Browsing in general, Etc.. ? Last thing, Does it have built in speakers ?

So far been using it every day for almost everything, Netflix, browsing editing . Light gaminG, all pretty good. Yes comes with built in speaker, lacks bass but gets the job done

Hey Zeref, yeah I think the correct resolution and type is (2560x1080 WideFHD). Pretty solid !! Quick check from aa comparison website, surprise to see the screen to body ratio 88.6 % (N) vs 86.15 %(K) and the Screen brightness reduction from 250 cd/m² (N) vs 300 cd/m² (K). 2020 model of the ultrawide, should be a solid buy. Hi , Planning to buy the same monitor... But my laptop has integrated graphics card ... Which supports max of 1920x1080 (hp 14-dh1178tu pavilion x360 laptop). So would it be possible to extend my laptops screen to 29 inch monitor?( i. e with full resolution).

Hey bro, It will be no problem. Your max resolution is not 1920x1080p. Yo Adam, WN is the newer model for the 29' inch Ultrawide monitor as compared to the WK. Both are more or less the same. Source: www.displaydb.com/compare/lg-29wn600/lg-29wk600 WK is brighter more than the WN WN bezel has a bigger (screen-to-body ratio) slimmer in design.

Hey there, gaming on an ultrawide is a little more immersive i would say, so far so good ! comes with some handy gaming features (on-screen scope for FPS games, and black levels adjustment for shadows)

@@atf56 actually it’s the height is the Same as a 24 inch monitor. The screen estate is on the horizontal side making it a 21:9 instead of the standard 24inch 16:9

Hey Pedro, WK vs WN is just the model difference. WN is the newer model. Somewhere in the comments you'll find my explanation ! (Summary: slight thinner bezel, less brightness: WN) - functionality wise is exact same
