I’ve never heard of Mx. that’s pretty cool Question: as more non-binary people are getting older, settling down, and having kids; what are some gender neutral parent names? Or are most people still choosing to go the “traditional” route?

I don’t really think there has to be any for kids, they’re just gonna call you what they want to. Ma, Pa, Mama, Papa, Dad, Mom, doesn’t matter as long as the meaning gets across and they know that word just means “parent.” Since the whole world around them is presented in the binary, it can be confusing to introduce many different pronouns to them as well. Obviously you can educate them, “Hey, some people aren’t boys, some people aren’t girls, sometimes they’re in-between and that’s okay.” Especially if you’re the parent and you tell them that, there isn’t a reason to introduce more complicated things until they get a bit older, maybe age 10-12. Kids care a lot less than we do, to them it doesn’t matter if they say “Ma” or “Pa,” it’s just the universal meaning of “Parent” that matters. I’m non-binary and of course this is just my opinion, other people have their own as well! :)

My family is right leaning christians. My parents have been very supportive. When I subtilty mentioned the fact I have a partner, my family inquired with my parents what I meant by that after I left. My mom proudly said "my daughter's gay, her partner is amazing, and I'm so proud of and love both of them.". I feel so lucky to have parents like them. @FantasyWork the phobes aren't any better, there were stories of lgbt people saying that their parents taught them that lgbt is bad but then they discovered that they’re lgbt and thought they were bad, THAT is harmful and NOT protecting their children at all, and then theres alabama where they teach kids that its criminal to be lgbt, do you know how harmful that is to a kid when they discover that they're lgbt? I never recalled discussions about gender and sexuality leading to devastation, and in a world where they have to do school shooting procedures every year to protect themselves from murder i dont exactly think most of them are too young to learn about gender and sexuality. All they’re doing is making it harder for them to have an outlet to figure themselves out. If you mean you don't support the toxic side of the community which , yeah , there is a toxic side , not gonna deny that , but like that's not what the community is like overall . You can ask a straight ally , they can tell you that our rights are not being taken away , not in the slightest bit . Also , you hating on lgbt basically means that you think they're all toxic as a whole , which like no , no no they're not . You're basically hating on them for really no reason at all

This inspires me to educate my little brother in lgbtqia+ stuff because my parents a respectful on a level but not really supportive (my dad is transphobic to an extent tho) and they think it’s an inappropriate topic for his age, but it’s not, duh, and I’ve introduced him to children’s shows with queer characters (I salute you TOH) and I’m thinking of showing him some terms and proper pronoun uses next chance I get. I hope that someday I can come out to him and trust him to not tell my parents. I also want him to know I’ll always be here for questions and I’ll support him through anything. I need to build enough trust so that if he ever wants to come out about anything he will tell me before my parents so I can protect him from anything my parents might try.

I always wonder what age parents think is appropriate to know that people that are different from each other exist 🤔

Mx? Like Mix? Like Mx. Smith or Mx. Kai? That sounds like a cafeteria dish name.

It is pronounced like Mix. It is very helpful for people who don’t use Mr, Mrs, Ms, or Miss

When making club member profiles at my retail job, they only have Mr Miss and Ms as options, no way to enter another one, and you also can’t make a profile without a title OR alter the profile later if it changes. It’s annoying.

Hi so im a Christian and lgbtq doesn’t line up In what I believe in, but I don’t want people to feel like there being judged or hated on. Instead I want them to feel loved and cared for. If your lgbtqia+ I love you and I care for you ❤ please know that because I feel like people think all Christian’s hate them

Hi. I’m a middle-ground conservative but believe firmly that there is room for ALL in this world. Your videos HELP because you’re not angry, raging at conservatives or republicans or magas. Instead, you talk about definitions and scenarios which HELP understanding. When people are not insulted up front, when their opinions are as valid but different from yours-you can reach and teach many. So many treat conservatives abusively and with instant intolerance. So those conservatives react back and dialogue-dies. If we all talk kindly, with acceptance of differences of opinion without getting angry, MOUNTAINS will be moved. Thank you!
