There's a good chance the text was converted to a compatible format :) There are some writers who prefer old PC word processors to write since old PCs offer less distraction (KZfaq, web surfing, auto-correct, etc...) then copy the file to a modern PC for editing and vice-versa. It's pretty cool!

My senior year of college I was taking an operating system class, (modifying a copy of Minix). The professor was always surprised that as Computer Scientists that only a few of us knew computer history. A survey was put out asking the ~100 Computer Science students if they would be interested in a Computer History class. A large majority (>70%) said they saw no need to learn about obsolete tech. That was a long way to say that I like your response about Computer History.

LGR, have you heard of Assassins Creed Origins observation mode? some schools actually use it in education because it gives you a historical tour of Egypt and information about the points of interest you visit. There is no attacking, you just freely wander around and learn things. I think that's the current state of edutainment in 2019. I hear they are about to include a observation mode in Assassins Creed Odyssey this fall as well.

Thanks for a great insight; I could listen to you chat away for hours! My nostalgic era is the 80s; the boom of the home computer here in the UK, although I also have a similar passion to you in vintage furniture; late 60s/70s “G-Plan” teak especially. One thing I would like to know is what’s the HiFi gear that’s been teasing me from the corner of the shot for the whole video?!

If you have an LGRCon it must have a ball pit. ;-)

Is it truly a con if it *doesn't* have a ball pit? 😁

Very interesting glimpse behind the curtain. I can relate to videos getting more and more laborious when you keep delivering better content on your channel :) Shame and pressure are my fuel as well ;) Keep up all the LGR things!

"but I think the results are worth it!", 100% agree! Going through your videos from years ago to your latest, wow what a game changer your channel has become.

He's just so darn charming. That laugh. He never fails to makes me smile. One of the few KZfaqrs I've just never grown tired of. I've been watching since 2012 and I'll watch until the very end
