I know, right? But in his case nice doesn't equal bland. His humor is awesome. Like plenty of others, (I'm assuming), I came for the Sims reviews, and stayed for everything else, even though I no nothing about it. It's so much fun to get educated on tech that came before my time, or before I was old enough to care. Man, I'd love to see some of that old stuff in person. The only thing that sucked about early tech was its lack of blind user accessibility, so I guess I was born at just the right time. Still, doesn't mean I'd not like to make best use of the vision I do have and and check things out 😄👍🏼 I totally understand what he means about the emotions of seeing his first childhood computer. Mine was a gateway and man ... We still have it in storage, and as of about 5 years ago it still worked, barely.

Funny how those have started to become really expensive. Speaking of which, I wonder what's the most expensive piece of tech or software Clint has.

If he reviews a piece of retro gear no one knew about, and likes it, prices immediately double on ebay as lots of his viewers decide they want one for themselves.

Now that you mention it... Me too. Last weekend I came across a woodgrain VCR and my first thought was LGR P.S. I got the VCR for $2.50 P.P.S. No, turns out it doesn't work.

OMG, me too! It was called that for quite awhile, I guess. I always wondered where that came from, though I think he said in one of his videos some time ago. I have followed since before my niece was born, and that was 2012. I came for his Sims 3 reviews, but stayed for the rest of his awesomeness. His videos never fail to pull a smile and/or laugh out of me, even when life sucks. He has a good voice, and he speaks naturally. He's not all high-octane, hyper drive, scream talking into the microphone like so many others I've watched (Yeah, I'm looking at you, jackcepticeye). He's just chill, without being bland; funny, without trying too hard. I have a lot of respect for him, and I'm greatful he's kept himself grounded through the years.

I think it comes from the term phreak, which means hacking into telephones. Clint's voice is indeed so relaxing, as are his videos. Most of the time I don't know for sure what's he talking about, but I'm immersed throughout. Easily one of my top 5 channels here, for sure.

Still, it's fascinating to see him delve into tech that came either before I was born or before I was old enough to remember or care. I'd love to take a look at some of that old stuff in person someday, even though that old tech had basically zero accessibility for blind users, at least so far as I'm aware, until Windows days and JAWS for the most part. I guess that's the benefit of being born in the early 90s, by the time I was old enough to use them computers were at least passably accessible. Anyway, I'm rambling ... a lot. I rely on LGR's sims reviews before I buy new packs. I am only partially blind, so can still play some games. The Sims Bustin' Out on gamecube was the first Sims game I played. It was proof to teenage me that I could game, so the Sims has had a special place in my heart, and so have LGR's reviews.

Same here, its relaxing, due to heart stress i worry about dying in my sleep some nights, his videos combined with a fan help calm me enough to rest.

My wife is the same way. She loves LGR, but mainly for the game reviews, not so much for the hardware. Personally, I can take or leave the game reviews, but I can't click fast enough when a new Oddware or LGR Thrifts video pops up. His visit to Computer Reset is probably my favorite video on the channel though - the combination of so much stuff to see and so much enthusiasm about it makes for compelling watching.
