We searched through Modern Vintage Gamer’s most popular videos, picking the top 1000 comments based on number of likes, first comments, and frequently asked questions. Then, we got the man himself to sit down and take us down memory lane. Ranging from the earliest days of his channel right up to the present, we've woven together MVG’s personal history on KZfaq - and captured his reactions to the whole thing.

Nice video as always. Just ask question for you. Game console maker make they hardware sometimes in loose and not gain profit from hardware. So they make profit from game and make thing console only run their licensed game. If you console maker, what path you choose? Make hardware profitable but make it more expensive. Or make it cheap/accessible but lock the ecosystem in there.

MVG is the perfect example of why KZfaq has been such a game changer in the media landscape. I love his content and there is no way traditional TV would ever do a documentary on the history of console hacks. KZfaq has provided a platform for everyone no matter how obscure the interests.

The problem is that this sort of content is supposed to be watchable by a larger demographic, people that click on a video and want it to get to the point. Interviews can easily get lengthy and very bloated, this sort of editing is required if you want to keep people's attention span.

the original xbox with an upgraded hdd and some homebrew mods at my friends place was mindblowing in 2004, loved the freedom it gave us to do all sorts of things including playing game roms that had been at our recently closed arcade parlour as a substitue to real arcades we no longer had access to.

Totally agree in the Dreamcast; so many titled I remembered... Left it in Europe, but sorry find memories if Shenmue, cosmic smash, etc All-time favorite computer is the Amiga. Grew up with it at the age of six.

I really like MVG as his videos are always so informative and is the main reason I got a xbox series s and to the emulation as I do not need a disc console as this is my first Xbox ever and I was playing videos games back in the 60s already and I love some of the older systems..
