Love driving this road. There's only 3 overtaking spots (safe ones, that is) that I regularly use. Really appreciate when drivers like you pull over to let traffic by - you're some man. Stay safe fella!

I remember driving that road almost 40yr ago ,Canadian tourist, that sharp bend near where you met the caravan before it got reworked and a coach taking both lanes to make the bend. Holy jeeze I thought, one lane in Canada is almost as wide as the whole road.

I'll never underestimate the concentration required in your job! I really think the road network in uk needs colossal investment and thought about how certain roads are used. That loch Lomond road could possibly be 1 way, or alternate direction 1 way at certain times. I realise this might not always be practical but just believe there must be a better way to use what we've got. Maybe they might have got their act together in about 100 years when lorrys and cars can all fly! Great vid, thanks! 🙂

I am a regular visitor to the Scottish Highlands. The logging lorries are the most dangerous drivers on UK roads. I have witnessed so many instances of their dangerous driving that I now actively pull over when one is coming towards me, or indeed when one is tailgating me such is their aggression, and before you accuse me of not going fast enough I stick to the limits, which in places is 40. The logging lorries want to do 60. I made a complaint to a police officer when one had taken the mirror off my car (I had pulled to a stand, he passed me at a speed I would estimate to be in excess of 50mph even though on a single carriageway road he is limited to 40mph. The officers response? "Well, if you know how they drive I advise you to give them more room" FFS I was as far over as I could get, and what a pathetic answer. It strikes me they fiercely protect their own up there. I should add I have an HGV license, car license, and a motorcycle license.

That sharp righthand bend @Time stamp 15:14/36:25 then seeing loch lomond on the left,the barrier system I helped putting it up with my rear mounted hiab crane,I was driving an old DAF 6wheeler 26T,I got used to those bends going back and forth to the digs.

Never done that road in an artic but used to do it in a 15m long coach, dreading one of the logging trucks coming towards you because they don't slow down for anything, there's a part they actually extended it out into the loch just to widen the road a bit but it's a hellish road

Start to 8:00 is the easy bit; all you have to do is watch your speed really. From there to Tarbet is where you earn your pay,

First time I went from Fort William to Auchinleck with jenkies I thought I'd made a mistake going down that road, couldn't believe it was an A road😂

Great vlog was on that road today Tipped Loch lomond reload at fortwilliam for Aberdeen I met everyone on the worst bit of road 👍

Good steady driving,,, you need to watch for brafurs running in front of you on that road

The road back up at Falls of Falloch is brutal on a nice day with everyone parked half on the verges We almost hit someone who decided to open their door as we passed and step out…
