Awesome idea! I'm going to use y'all's idea but use t-post to put in the ground and slide the PVC pipe over it. Thank you!

Thanks for this. Couldn’t find this so ended up using schedule 40. For the posts I used 2 tposts that slid right into the 1.5 in pipe.

I appreciate the need to roughen up the PVC before painting. What brand/type of spray paint did you use? Looks like flat black? Painting black would be a better option for me than just leaving the PVC white.

We just used a flat black and it’s still going strong. Of course, it doesn’t get touched often, but it is in the sun and weather. We thought black made it look better than the white, because the white would definitely give it away as to what material it is. Lol

What are the dimensions of your banner, and how deep into the ground did you set the two supports?

That banner is 3 foot by 8 foot. I think we set those post about 3 feet into the ground. It’s still standing. It’s been the toughest low expense sign that we’ve ever done. Lol
